So a company is aligning itself with the word of God. And they're sticking their necks out to do it. So the fuck WHAT if the people in charge of the MUPPETS can't handle this?

It all comes down to: are you willing to accept the Bible as truth?

Sure, the bible prescribes to breed and torture millions of chickens for burgers, and use the profit to prevent equal civil rights for gay people.

Stange sense of truth you have.

If you're going to accept one passage as truth then you must accept the whole thing.

Such as we must stone to death women who aren't virgins when they get married. And kill children who "dishonor" their mother and father. And that slavery is A-OK.

I Will get grilled for this but i have to say it....

So many people are jumping on this hate Chic-Fil-A bandwagon & i myself an homosexual & i just think there are bigger problems to worry about. What is this gonna do? people tells me it brings awareness... yeah it's common knowledge that there is homophobia.

It's also common knowledge many of these fast food joints are proudly christian owned so why would the answers they give surprise or shock anyone?

Some people told me it will stop them from giving there money to anti-gay campaigns to stop homophobic stuff shown in the media?

If they don't give money to it someone will & you never know who is REALLY giving money these business are usually shady as fuck. So i ask what are we really doing with this supposed boycott? it seems this is something to distract from bigger issues.

I don't think boycotting a mediocre fast food chain restaurant is going to

A. Make someone change there stance of equality issues

B. Make people stop giving there money to whatever shady organization

C. Isn't getting us closer to gay marriage or anything of equal rights...

I wish people where just as passionate as other groups.. people seemed to quick to jump on the bandwagon to boycott a cheap chicken joint. But that's all lol neutral then they don't give a fuck about other political debates.. but it's OK to jump on the wagon for Kony 2012 or Chic-Fa-Fuckin-A

neutral

That's just my 2 cents

I'm not going to grill you for it because I have friends that think the same as you. The difference bwteen CFA and other Christian-run organizations is that other organizations don't come out and alienate people like these assholes have done.

Everyone has their own bigger things to worry about but since this is a civil rights issue to me, this is a big thing to worry about.

People call themselves Christian when they are out fucking everything that moves, strealing, and committing every other sin under the sun but homosexuality seems to be tyhe one they care most about. If this motherfucker living in a glass house, he oughta know better than to throw stones.

I personally believe a lot of these places people eat it are probably not gay friendly...,

But on the other side of the fence... i have had to hear my christians go shoveling on & on about bble verses and shit like NO1CUR

Then why not just not eat there... instead of standing out there with signs and yelling.

People are quick to put up signs & yell about shit.... and some people boycotting don't even know the fulls tory of why there are doing it.

And people probably don't even take this into account.. the people that work at Chic-fil-a could just be trying to get a paycheck... they could just be trying to stay out of al the bullshit.

And then suddenly are being harassed and plagued with people calling them this & that when i doubt everyone that works there is homophobic.... economy is bad & some mofos just need a job.

And some of the works here in L.A have been spit at, yelled at & other shit.. wtf is that getting done?

some of these i get, but some are silly. They have been sued only over a dozen times? for a big orginazation like that.. that is really not that bad.

I mean imagine how many times Taco Bell, Burger KIng or others have been sued lol

Some of these i want to see more receipts for, some there is 100 percent proof some is hear say.

I Realize that these peeps are bad,, but i don't trust many of the food orginazations of America.

I am positive McDonalds, BK, Wendys & a lot of others have given money to bad shit... in fact if you google you can find good info on that.

Let's get real here.

In 10-15 years, gay marriage will be completely legal.

In 40 years, people will look back at this generation and see how wrong they were. They will be no different from racists in the '50s. (yes I said it cause it's true. They are different and in many aspects cannot be compared, but it IS true that by the '50s and '60s racists began to be seen as outdated.)

So the people standing in those long ass Chick-fil-a lines ready to support "traditional marriage" can miss me with all that bullshit.

Agreed.

The Dutch constitution will be changed, not only stating against discrimination of race, religion or sex, also discrimination of sexual preference will be explicitly written in our constitution. I think that just like when Holland was the first to legalize gay marriage, other countries will follow again, and have it in their constitution in a couple of years to.

Don't hate people, it's also just how history evolves.

When the gay men are accepted, than the next battle will be for women to be treated as equal humans.

I love people for trying to change things. And I love it when they accomplish it.

I went to a conference in San Diego once where the organizers realized at the last minute that the owner of the conference hotel had donated money to the anti-gay-marriage movement. They switched all the meetings to a different hotel next door. Turns out the owner of that other hotel had also donated to the same cause, so it was pointless.

If people are boycotting Chick Fil-A because of their stance on gay marriage, where are they eating instead? If you go to the mom-and-pop sandwich shop next door, they could be donating to the same cause. Or to something else that is even worse.

People can boycott what they want. I didn't show up for Chick Fil-A Appreciation Day or whatever it was, but neither am I going to change my lunch plans on any given day to go along with the latest cause. If they were actually not serving gay people, or discriminating against/not hiring gay employees, that would be different and more analogous to Jim Crow.

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.

Yep.

Boycot is very effective. If the companies don't have any money, they can't donated it to anti-gay lobbyists.

Chick Fil-A is probably getting more business out of this, if anything. In the South (where most Chick Fil-A restaurants are), opposing gay marriage is smart politics.

How about if I donate $1 to Equality California for every chicken sandwich I buy at Chick Fil-A? lol

More likely to make a difference in California. I live in Texas, where we just had a hotly contested Republican runoff for the Senate spot with each candidate trying to slander the other as a "moderate." They both made public appearances at Chick Fil-A right before the election. The winner, Ted Cruz, served Chck Fil-A sandwiches at his victory party. (He ran to the right of the other candidate, who was endorsed by our moderate governor Rick Perry, most famous for expressing sympathy for seccessionists and wanting to abolish federal agencies whose names he couldn't remember.)

Our constitution not only prohibits gay marriage, but anything resembling marriage (e.g., civil unions). The courts have even held that if you were married in a state that allows gay marriage you cannot get a divorce in Texas. Good luck to anyone trying to fight for marriage equality in Texas right now. It hasn't been that long since sodomy was criminal, and the law only changed when the U.S. Supreme Court struck it down. Things may change eventually but many other states will go first, starting with the ones Obama carried by a landslide in 2008.

That's very true. I was thinking the same thing today myself. Gay marriage is eventually going to be legal no matter how much these ignorant idiots fight it because look at all the amount of progress we've made in the short time since The Stonewall Riots. It's just a matter of time before gay marriage becomes legal. But what's going to be funny this time, is we live in an internet age now where there are tons of pictures and videos of these events. When it finally does become legal, the children of these folks are going to see pictures all over the place of their parents standing in line at the Hick-Fil-A opposing something that only a complete unreasonable hating asshole would oppose and their parents aren't going to be able to deny it like the racist folks with the racist signs of the 1960s try to deny they were ever a part of it. There's only a little footage from the 1960s but there's a ton of footage of events that occur today.

There we go!

People posting shit like oh i'm going to buy my chicken at ralphs or so & so today rolleyes

Yes because thousands will still eat at Chic-Fil-A and you protesting so loud that you are eating elsewhere is just such a powerful statement.

That story of the hotel doesn't shock me either lol
