Did anybody actually read this?

I did smile

You make some good points but as your experience with "Londonboy" proved to you, it's all relative and not THAT bad.

I admire your will to try and do something about it tho'. Chapeau. Still in touch with the mayor's office?

THanx.

Yes, still in touch with the mayor's office. And the newspaper, two times in Parool this week.

I should spend my time on moving in stead of being the local activist wink

If you happen to run into one; orgnote me! I might plan a Canadian holiday next summer wink

Citizenship and Immigration Canada look for 'fraud marriage of convenience'. If it's not legit it's a no go, and they have their ways of checking stuff out. Some foreign nationals look for marriage as a ticket into Canada. You are not 'automatically' a citizen upon marriage. There is so much homework involved...... police clearance certificates, proof that there is a legit relationship/marriage, etc, etc.

I wasn't even thinking about fraud. I'd rather live in Canada being married to a nice Canadian guy, than not knowing anybody there. And have nice cute little Canadian children.

I'm up for the whole Canadian thing, not frauding at all...

I often wish i could leave the United States. If i had the money i would probably be gone. For some reason i really dig British culture so London would probably be my first choice. Canada(vancouver or toronto) would be second and someplace in Africa would be third.

Mexico use to be an option but after seeing videos on the net of people being decapitated with chainsaws by Narco-terrorist, Im cool. Even if i was rich i probably wouldn't move there.

lol

Not everyone in Mexico is living under the threat of narco-terrorism...just like not everyone in the USA lives in a center-hall colonial with a white picket fence.

IMO - you don't necessarily need MONEY to relocate, as much as you need a job prospect. Won't do you no good to move to London if you're gonna be sleeping on a park bench. lol

Do you have good computer skills? You could probably land a good job overseas I think (I know someone who was going nowhere...went to a technical school...and landed a really good-paying job in JAPAN!).
