So, which of the three is everyone's favorite? I'm guessing TDK gets the most votes, but for me it's Batman Begins. Sure, the Joker is beyond great in TDK but as a whole, Batman Begins might be the better movie. There are some scenes, some cuts, which seem off to me in TDK. And I love the vibe and look of Batman Begins. Also the fight scenes, which seem to get so much hate - but it just makes so much sense, Batman is supposed to be dark and fast and the bad boys don't know what the fuck just happened. lol Perfectly executed.

One thing I can NEVER get over in TDK is when the Joker storms the apartment, looking for Harvey Dent. He throws Rachel out of the windown, Batman catches her and then? Cut. WTF? So the Joker and his goons just drink some booze and then leave through the front door? lol

The Dark Knight.

Begins was merely an introduction to Batman, the plot was almost non-existant. In contrast, Rises has many confusing plots. Begins had a chessy script, and the main villian's 5 minute scene in Rises was better than throughout the whole of Begins. The Dark Knight had many memorable lines, delivered well by Ledger. And whilst the plot is also somewhat extensive and mudled, it's more conclusive and well-thought. The acting in Dark Knight is also superior to the others, over-all.

The plot was almost non-existant? Not sure what you mean. Sure, the "main" villian came back rather late in the movie, but still, it all worked really well, IMO.

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

I was actually referring to Scarecrow.

As for the non-existant plot, the whole cleansing of Gotham City seemed irrelivant, in comparison to Wayne becoming Batman. It just wasn't interesting nor did it seem important.

Firstly, The Amazing Spider-Man was the first retelling that correctly explored the "With Great Power Come Great Responsibility" theme. And that was without ever uttering that famous phrase. Peter Parker went from a wimp to a beast, and became a douche in the process. And at the end of the movie, Parker is still on the trail of his Uncle's killer. This is what Batman has in common with Spider-Man, and I feel that TAS pulled off the grieving and vengeance angles a lot better in regards to the main characters.

The fight scenes in TAS were exactly how a Superhero cgi battle should look. Spider-Man was fast, nimble, acrobatic, and resourceful with his webbing. Batman and Bane looked like Rocky IV. Brutal? Yes. Effective? Mostly, until we get to the money shot of Bane "breaking the Bat". Completely wasted one of the iconic moments of Batman's Lore. I wasn't even sure if Batman was really hurt.

And I don't understand all of the love for Bale's Batman. When did Batman become a mouth breather? And why does he always have to sound like Assy McGee? Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker is very much in tune with today's Beta Youth.

And you can't seriously buy the "love story" between Batman and Catwoman. I know it would be hard to top Keaton/Pfifer's dynamics, but their "romance" is completely out of the blue. Meanwhile, Garfield/Emma Stone was one of the best on screen match-ups in recent comic movie releases. Right up there with Bale/Gyllanhall and Downey Jr./Paltrow.

You are clearly a comic book fan. I am not. I'm a fan of good film.

I'm definitely a comic book fan. I'm also a good film fan. If you are insinuating that this film is beyond the Superhero Action Film genre, I would have to respectfully disagree. I feel The Dark Knight is the superior of the three Nolan Bat-movies in every way. And within the genre, I enjoyed TAS more than I did TDKR. And the Avengers blew both of those moives out of the water.

If I were to rank the movies:

God Tier: Avengers, Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Star Trek, Spider-Man 2, X-Men, Blade, Watchmen, Kick Ass, Sin City

Average Tier: Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America, The Dark Knight Rises, Hulk, The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man, X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Wolverine, Punisher (2008), Transformers 1 and 2, G.I. Joe

Shit Tier: Batman Begins, Spider-Man 3, Superman Returns, Green Lantern, Blade 2 and 3, Fantastic Four 1 and 2, Ghost Rider 1 and 2, Daredevil, Jonah Hex, Transformers 3

I was really hoping that TDK and Watchmen would bust open some quality DC movies, but alas.

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

the avengers and the amazing spider man were way better than any of these dark knight bullshit ass movies

What did I tell you about doing a key of cocaine and then getting online and posting??? "The Dark Knight bullshit ass movies"?? Are you kidding me??? Hell, Batman Begins was 10 times better than Amazing Spider-man, and The Dark Knight might be the BEST comic book ever of ALL time. No joke. The only one that may tie it is indeed The Avengers.

But, TDKR was one helluva great movie in its own right, with some minor problems, yes. But I still loved every minute of it, and TRUE Batman fans now line up to kiss Chris Nolan's ring for bringing Bats back to cinematic prominence with his trilogy. cool

and what did i tell u about eating that hallucination soup? so again i just see these nolan films as boring as hell 2 me and that' cool if anyone digs them they just aren't being added 2 my dvd collection at all..but best belive the avengers and spidey will be added!

and btw the REAL superman movie was on the other night ..superman the movie and we know supes II both the released and donner version will be far better than what nolan will do with this new one ..PIPE BOMB

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I was agreeing with you until you said Avengers was much better. Avengers is a terrible film.

yes but the Avengers was meant 2 be cheesey and abit of a parody......how else could u get a big green monster......a god who controls thunder......a hero from world war 2....and a billionare play boy like robocop but with a more funkier personality....2gther on screen and make it work?.......since christopher nolan set the bar high with the 1st 2 films especially cuz they were more gritty and reliastic with complex psycholgy and reltionships......the 3rd film 2 me was so messy and had no fun in it......infact The Avengers had everything, comedy (infact sum of teh funniest scenes ive seen in a while 2 be fair) drama, and the last 30 mins blew evry single action scene in all the batmans out of the water!!!...it was a spectacle........and Im more of a Marvel fan anyhow smile...so maybe im biased haha

nah ur just telling the truth smile
