Exactly. Batman cannot die. This is not fuckin' Sin City. This is Gotham City. Batman saves Gotham, Wayne survives it. Period. Even Frank Miller knew that.

Batman is a man, why can't he die?

It's silly to elevate him to some god status.

It's a comic book. There's so much silliness that it's kind of silly to mention it.

Batman can't die because he's Batman. I mean... That is pretty self explanatory. You have any idea what Batman has survived?? lol...

saw it yesterday and i'll be honest ..the avengers and the amazing spidey were better 2 me in every fashion, in pace, in action and imho it proved once again why marvel is ahead of the game than anything dc comics film division can ever put out.

i know batman is a brooding type of comic book but damn i couldn't help think through out this whole nolan reboot trilogy of why batman's arsenal of gadgets look so damn LAME ..the bat bike was the only cool vehicle. the bat plane looked like a big fat blob..the batmobile looks like a tank WTF? when u think in comparison to tony starks aka iron man who actually SPENDS his fortune on gadgets that actually not only look cool BUT USES THEM AND THEY WORK!

then there was batman's punches ..in the immortal words of rocky balbona to clubber lang MY MOTHER HITS HARDER THAN THAT ..wtf?

and why did it seem like i needed subtitles 2 hear what the hell bane was talking about? ugh ugh ugh ..

and now dc wants 2 trout out man of steel..thankfully iron man 3 will be already out 2 show what a real comic book movie should be

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I saw the movie and thought the film was shit....and ova-hyped ill tell u why....

1. we are supposed 2 believe that a 9 year old girl escaped that prison pit on 1st attepmt!!...and it took a league of shadows trained bruce wayne about 5!......nah im sorry not buying it!

2. I thought the bane voice was stupid

3. Catwoman was more like bat-girl........not a villian as she should be!!

4. that ending were that good cop gets teh batcave and we find out his 1st name is "Robin" seened forced and cheesey

5. same thing happens that did in the 1st 2......gotham gets cut-off from the world....no 1 can leave the city...AGAIN!!....ffs...cant they think fo something new

6. was overlong.....didnt need nearly 3 hours 2 tell that story....The Avengers was just aslong but was much better...cuz it flew buy...time flys when ya having fun...plus that lived up 2 the hype!!!

7. when talia ghul is dying......shes gives a villianess prolouge...and batman stands there listening....even tho theres only a few minutes left 4 him 2 stop the nuclear bomb thing goes off

MAJOR SPOILERS

I was so HAPPY/STUNNED when Miranda revealed herself as Talia (including the rib stabbing moment which made scream like a teenager lol) that, frankly, I didn't even think if the actress was adequate or not, but now that you're talking about it, perhaps Cotillard was a bit miscast...but decent enough;Cotillard has this exotic flavour that worked well

and I hate to say it but, the big tits didn't hurt either lol razz

[Edited 7/26/12 6:24am]

She looks much more like Talia in the pic you posted than she did in the film.

Like DaveT posted, it´s not about the looks, I get that....and he´s right , Heath Ledger didn´t look exactly like the Joker in the comics but it´s not just the looks that I had a problem with, it was the whole aura. That woman was not necessarily doing a bad job but, I don´t know, for some reason, that Talia Al Ghul aura was missing.

Then again, it would´ve been impossible to compress the whole Talia/Ras/Bruce/Selina storyline into one movie anyway.

She sure looked like she had an impressive rack in the movie. eek drool I beleive, however, they were going after a seasoned actress to play Miranda/Talia but deliberatly played down the romantic tension, probably due to time limitations.

Despite some flaws as talked about here cool i loved the movie..

I really enjoyed Bane as a villain! as i mentioned in my villains thread. I get that the Joker is probably loved way more than Bane. But to me Bane was a lot more scary cause i myself am a big guy 6'5 & I'm pretty big & strong...

But i am afraid of someone bigger & stronger being able to just take me out & break me to pieces eek The Joker to me is a great villian but physically i don't think he would be hard to beat at all. Bane is just a big mofo who can break you in 2 and sound like a jolly ole bitch while doing it lol

The entire talia thing was....whatever confused i would have been happy with Bane just being the main villain but i guess the movie needed a twist. And her villain speech took me out of the movie a bit confused

But besides some flaws i loved the flick

There were more flaws than I can count on my fingures. But I still enjoyed some aspects of the movie greatly, Bane's character was great, despite his anti-climatic death.

That was a bit rushed. One shot & he was down eek

Them focusing more on Talia in the end was.. just ok to me. Her death was not very climatic either and i really didn't care about it much either.

I would have much prefered Catwoman & Batman VS Bane in a fight lol

Agreed. Talia just seemed irrelivant.

the rack of Marion Cotillard was one of the highlights of the film nod her breasts looked gigantic in a couple of scenes, specially when she's watching the family pics of Bruce Wayne...

My mom wanted me to tag along with her to see it, as I wasn't too gung ho about seeing the movie BUT after seeing it, it was really really good. Long as hell, but a very good movie.

-I agree with what another orger said that Bane was hard to understand at times.

-Anne Hathaway was better than I thought she would be as Catwoman...though Michelle is still my fave.

-Loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He was the highlight of the movie for me. That and when Cillian Murphy was back and was acting as the judge. lol I love that guy.

-Loved Marion Cotillard too.

-Christian Bale didn't disappoint as usual.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I had the same reaction. When I first read she got the part, I figured her face would be too happy-looking to play hardcore Catwoman effectively. But instead, she executed the character perfectly. nod

And in general, this is the greatest Batman film ever created. The highlight for me throughout the whole movie was that Sean Connery-Liam Neeson hybrid voice created for Bane. It really took me aback comically when he said his first line. lol Absolutely brilliant.

I actually agree. I would have never expected to enjoy it based on the trailer. At parts, it still was slightly incomprehensible.

I agree with that. The trailer for this was awful. I wasn't all that pressed to see this based on the trailer, but glad I went to see it anyway. The trailer didn't do the movie justice at all.

Saw it last night.

It was laughable cheesy sooooo many times. With all the orgasms people have been having with these movies I expected so much more.

That Bane dude's voice was hilarious, and so was Batman's. And so many silly holes in this movie.

But that Third Rock from the Sun kid is hot.

As I've mentioned before, people seem to forget that this is still a comic-book movie....its meant to be a bit cheesy, its meant to be unreal, fantasy, etc.

I think Nolan's almost been he's worst enemy, doing such a good job with the first two films....people are now expecting him to turn in The Godfather or Lawrence of Arabia with Dark Knight Rises. Its still a comic book movie about a man that dresses up like a bat!! biggrin I don't think you can moan that a film with that central premise can have too many cheesy moments

I said a couple of days ago that the film was cheesier than Begins/Dark Knight, but overall it's NOT a cheesy film

I'm curious...why some of you guys think it's a CHEESY film?? considering that it's a film that includes brutal fist fighting scenes, torture scenes, people being shot to death, etc

if Rises is cheesy, then Batman & Robin was basically Disney, is that it??

one line (which I don't consider cheesy, more like tongue in check, anyway) and the movie is CHEESY?
