ok phillies fans , will they get rid of Cole Hamels or not ??? I know all you Prince fans will have an opinion on this one ...
I just read an article which basically speculated that Cole Hamels is going to be traded ... soon .
To me, this is UNTHINKABLE . VERBOTTEN .... JUST PLAIN WRONG ... but ...
let me know ... what say you !!??
Yes , the Phillies suck this year . Bullpen has been horrible - i guess i should say especially middle innings ...
NO Ryan HOward and or chase utley for most of the yr .
Halladay having issues too ...
but hey , Cole Hamels essentially won them a world series in 2008 . He is HOME GROWN ... you cant trade him ... give him the $$$$ ... show him the moneyyyyyyyyyy ...

Last I heard, they were trying to keep him.
All I'll say is they better lock him up before the season's over, and the same can be said for Texas and Josh Hamilton.
If you dont lock them up, they'll be in Dodger Blue next year.   She has robes and she has monkeys, lazy diamond studded flunkies.... | |

one thing i do not like about baseball is the free agency ... it has changed the game so much now ... not that I am against someone testing themarket .. but ... the money is just crazy ...
you have those pitchers that are 8 - 10 and they are getting 3 million and 4 million contracts !

i have read articles about trading Cole etc but i really doubt they would ... he brought them a 2008 title almost single handedly ....

He's basically gone....if you heard him during the All-Star interviews, he's was using Cliff Lee as an example of how he could be traded this season and come back next year.... He's from Southern California, Dodgers have mucho cash to outbid the Phillies Phillies dropped the ball by not signing him during the offseason when they had the chance... Phillies only hope of keeping him is that he likes the city and doesn't want to leave, just like Cliff Lee, who took less money to go back to Philly | |

They have this sold out stadium ... and then a new TV deal .... is what i read ....
I really cant see them trading him , but you make some good arguments...
