Everyone should be tested every year! Even if you are married or in an "exclusive" relationship. You may feel that your marriage or relationship is exclusive but your partner may feel differently. That's why it's best that everyone, no matter what your situation, get tested annually. Like the stats said, there are a lot of people out here who don't know that they are positive. I'm sure a lot of them have never been tested because they feel as if there is no way they could have been exposed to it because, "my man/woman would never cheat on me". Ha!!!! Bottom line, if you are having sex, you are at risk, period.

I got tested a few years ago. I've been in a monogamous relationship for 7 years so I don't see a reason. If my bf cheats on me and gives me HIV, I'll be pissed though. That does happen to some unfortunate people.

Anyway, tested a few times, when my kids were actively involved in a group that did plays at schools and health fairs some of the subject matters were dealing with HIV, so quite a few times at the health fairs. And a few times since then too, cause ignorance isn't bliss.

I just listened to this case last night of a black woman who got it from her newly married deacon husband. He didn't tell her cause he was scared he'd lose her. :eyeroll:

I can't recall how many times I've heard guys say they don't wanna know till they just drop dead somewhere, ticks me off.
