Pain Killers (Aspirin, Tylonol, etc.) - I gotta Question

So, I rarely..l I mean RARELY ever get headaches. It only happens once in a blue moon, and

often I just go to sleep or something.

So, I have very little experience with aspirin or tylonol.

So, the question I have is if you take these things, it obviously diminishes the amount of pain you feel. However, is the flip side a diminishign of the pleasure you feel?

For example, does the taste of food become more dull?

Does sex feel less stimulating?

When I feel a headache coming on I take 2 extra strength tylenol. Then I go lay down in a quiet room and sleep it off. I feel great after I wake up.

I don't know about the taste of food. I don't eat when I have a headache.

It definitely takes some of the zing out of my S&M sessions, if that's what you mean

The gov't is considering removing Tylenol from certain drugs such as percocet.

The problem with tylenol is that people are overdosing daily on the medicine. Killing off organs as a result. This is a huge problem here in the USA.

I take neither of them-because they do nothing for me.

Yeah Tylenol is particularly dangerous for your liver. Especially if you take other drugs and/or drink. It doesn't take much to be damaging, only a few per day.

I think they stop making the 650mg version for this reason. If I remember correctly 2,000mg is the max an adult (without liver complications) can take in a day.

The best headache remedy I know of is to take 800 mg of ibuprofen (Advil) and 500 mg of acetaminophen (Tylenol) at the same time. Ibuprofen is for inflammation and stress, and acetaminophen is for pain.

It doesn't seem to dull anything but the headache. shrug

Unless you have ulcers or bleeding problims, aspirin should work fine. Two 325mg tabs should do it. There used to be a powder called BC or Stanback. I don't know if they make them anymore. I think all they were were ground up aspirin, just like powder. They came in little wax paper packets. You would open the packet and sprinkle the powder on the back of your tongue or dissolve it in water and drink. That stuff worked like a champ, probably because it was powder and got to your bloddstream quickly.

I've never heard of aspirin or Tylenol affecting taste or libido.

i do not know if pain killers diminish pleasure as well as pain. i don't think so, because i don't think they're the same set of nerves, or maybe it's that the drug blocks receptors. interesting idea. got no idea, me. turns out i'm allergic to the good shit so for painkillers i just use aspirin
