I don't like crowded places and I'm afraid of height (but only when I'm standing at the edge of something, or when I'm in a tree. I have no problem with planes). |

I place the monitor boxes a bit further from the edge of the stage and never go past them...
It was just an example to illustrate when this phobia kicks in, height-wise etc. |

i'm afraid to drive, and it makes things difficult for me living in california (the area i do live in at least) because i have to rely on my husband to drive me and my son everywhere. and there isn't good public transportation in my area. so i always feel ashamed when people find out i don't drive, because they look at me like i'm crazy. but my parents told me so many times when i was a teenager that i was a bad driver, and constantly put me down, that i still can't get over this. and i have no confidence when it comes to getting behind the wheel.
This is a very commom fear and how brave of you to share, there's so much same in it people are afraid to admit they have this phobia. I too suffered from a fear of driving for many years, I mean I didn't get behind the wheel until I was 30! I decided to have hypnotherapy just to aid in my anxiety about driving. It helped tremendously!
My only phobias now are clowns and spiders! |
