Well ok I got my hands on it when it came to our town Burnley yesterday

Here it is coming through the town centre

Followed closely by the mobile version of the London Philharmonic Orchestra

Then they stopped for lunch

They lit the torch again and set off en route for London

Awesome. I remember when the USA hosted the Winter Olympics in 2002, the torch run went through my town, and a whole bunch of people came out at 7:00 am on a very cold Saturday morning just to watch it go through.

My husband got his hands on the olympic torch recently too!

It's going to be coming through my town early July.

I too carried the torch when I was in elementary school.

Pretty cool! I got to see the torch in '84 when it passed through my town, but I certainly did not get close to touching it.

I do carry a torch for a certain orger, however

The 2002 Winter Olympics torch came through our Utah town. It was a very cool experience.
