Ouch! I have a toothache!

I can't afford to go to the dentist, and I've had a killer toothach for the past 3 days, non-stop! I can barely sleep or eat and I'm miserable! Anyone with advice?

If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

This is of no help to you and I apologise for that, but posts like this remind me of how happy I should be living in Austria. I can phone any dentist and when I say I have terrible tooth ache they say "come over immediately". I give them my "e-card" and the matter is resolved. No bills and no having to wait until "richer" people are finished.

You need to try find and go to a dentist ASAP possibly a charity based one?
The tooth needs drilled out, possible antibiotics. If you do not go you may get an abscess and this could be dangerous. For now try using a high fluriode mouth wash and toothpaste rinse mouth in between with salt water, over the counter anaesthetic gel for mouth may give temporary relief. Keep your mouth very clean especially the infected area.

If you can not find a dentist your doctor may help by giving you painkillers and antibiotics.

tooth pain is the worst pain ever you poor thing' I hope is subsides real soon for you rose

Not to mention that that one movie Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is badd-ass.

I agree with TypoQueen completely. And you can go to a dentist - just find one that will bill you and accept payments. If not, find a clinic, like TypoQueen suggested. If you can call 1-800-Dentist now, do it now. Call them when you can regardless, find out if they can help you get to the right dentist for your needs.

If you have an abscessed tooth, or rather - the infection that comes with it, it can be very dangerous do the proximimity of your mouth to your brain.

There is information online about diagnosing and treating an abscessed tooth, but all of them eventually lead to you going to a dentist.

It could obviously be something else, but you really need to be sure.

The US.

And the "stupidity" is what keeps me coming back here. It makes commenting on here that much more fun.

I went through that a few weeks ago after eating steak, but got better after a few days though the gums still get irritated. You may want to double check, but you may need amoxicillin if it's an infection. I took Tylenol to ease my pain though.

PLEASE LISTEN UP!

I swear you have got to order you some "OraMD" - you can order it online, on Amazon or just google it. It is made out of peppermint, spearamint and almond oil which kills bacteria and also makes tooth STOP hurting. About a year ago I had a wisdom tooth hurting like HELL but am terrified of getting teeth pulled so ordered this stuff and began using it religiouslyy. When I went to dentist few months later (and my tooth stoppped hurting immediatly after using OraMD) I asked my dentist, "Does this tooth need to be pulled?" and he said, "No, not now, it looks good to me" as did all my other teeth and gums were fantastic. I swear, I do not work for the company or anything, it is just some good stuff! Even for people with no toothache, it's good to brush with as it kills all germs and gives you mintiest breath ever- so minty it damn well clears your sinuses at same time. If you don't believe go on Amazon and read the reviews for the product. smile

Thanks. I just got released from the hospital and they did prescribe me Amoxicllin. Thanks for all the suggestions!
