iPhone users - can you explain this? I just got an iphone so I'm getting aquainted with it and something weird happened. I'll explain exactly what happened on my end and perhaps someone will have some insight?
I was text messaging back and forth a few times this past week with someone that is NOT saved as a contact. I deleted all the text messages in my message inbox. Today I received a text message from him. But the actual message was blank. I asked him if he messaged me and he said he didn't.
This kind of freaks me out after reading about hackers getting into people's phones and laptops. So, I'm just asking in case anyone has any ideas about this. Basically, I received a BLANK text message from someone who is NOT in my contacts list. I just happen to know who it was because I was messaging a few days prior with this person.
Could it be a hacker or just a weird fluke? Why would this just appear if he didn't send it? Besides, I don't think he COULD have sent a blank text the way the iphone texts are set up.
Any insight would be appreciated!

As far as I know, it doesn't matter if someone is or is not on your contact list. Anyone can text to your phone number unless you block their incoming phone number. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

Any cell phone can send you a text -- the contact list makes it easy for you to know who it is. With AT&T you can sign up toart controls for $4.99 a Month and have any number blocked you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

I understand that any number can text you, but this is something beyond that.
This person claims he did NOT text me. I believe him. We were texting the previous day back and forth, but I deleted all of our texts. Then I received a blank text from his number.
The fact that his number is not saved in my contacts is probably irrelevant.

what if, that person had started to write something to you, but only had pressed space so far and then hit send but the message failed until there was a stronger signal and then it got sent far fetched? I'm the mistake you wanna make
