Back to middle school/high school so I could have developed a music/arts career further than just recreational lessons. I would have chosen an arts high school even though mine had a good music program, and not quit piano lessons, and hung out with better people. Taken advantage of the fact I know people who know people with connections instead of just sitting back, and still doing that.
Not that big a deal actually.

Sunday, August 26, 1990.
Me and all of my buddies were playing football at Lincoln High school...just a bunch of teens who all played ball together thru pop warner but ended up playing for different high schools, getting together on a Sunday to talk shit and play ball. Some bloods who wore red, some bloods who wore green, some crips that wore blue...all just hanging and having a good time. Again, we all grew up together and were friends before the gang shit totally took over, so it was no big deal...you just didnt "set trip".
When we finished, a buddy of mine since kindergarten named Janiro Ramsey, who was a RED blood, decided to go and visit his girl instead of riding home with the rest of us who were heading back to the RED ZONE. We warned him...we were in the middle of GREEN territory and we all knew the rules...but Janiro poked his chest out and said "Fuck that, blood! I'm going to get some pussy!" Wearing red from head to toe, he never made it home. He was standing in a phone booth, calling his girl, when some Lincoln Park ni**as rolled on him and lit him up.
From 1986-1995 I lost 14 friends to some form of gang violence, but none hurt like Janiro. If I could go back, I would have knocked his ass out and thrown him in the trunk of my cousin's car.
RIP Homeboy....

Just one use.... yeeeeee.... I don't know. I'd have to think about that one for a bit.
But at the risk of somebody stealing my idea, I started writing a book a couple years ago about a guy who found he, and only he, could travel through time (not telling how) so he went back with a bunch of cameras to times before photographs existed to take picturs of famous places, people, things and events (think, dinosaurs and ancient Roman battles etc.). I never got very far with it, but if I had unlimited uses, that's what I'd do.
One time... errrr....

Interesting.
I can't imagine why anyone would want to go back in time, regardless of race or nationality, actually.
You'd have to be part of the far upper class to actually live even remotely comfortably or without fear for your safety (even then the aristocracy were always subject to assassinations).
It would be very scary....repressive...oppressive...There would always be this ominous forboding that followed your every step....sort of like clicking one of your threads. |

OK...what if you can COME BACK though?
I certainly don't want to be stuck as a peasant in Medieval France or pre-colombian Mesoamerica (and most likely wind up as a sacrificial victim atop some temple).
And without electricity...your ability to secretly record Asian boytoys would be limited.

Like how my parents acted when they were my age.
What REALLY Happened with Nicole Brown-Simpson. (we know OJ did it, but was he provoked?)
To see how big people like MJ, Whitney, etc were in their prime. Was everybody and their mama walking around with a red jacket or was it like today's version of Bieber Fever?
My grandmother's wedding.
A 70s college party to see if it's any difference..
A gay club in the 70s.
Stuff like that.. |

I'm not sure I'd want to do it even then.
Perhaps I would want to witness the evolution of man...Like, how we became so fatty (I don't mean fat--but our body fat percentage far exceeds other primates), and hairless, and prone towards highly abstract thinking (not something I would consider highly needed in the animal kingdom). |

There's a few people that were around me in the early 90's (in the same school or were friends of friends) that have since become insanely famous. I''d have tried to work with them on some film projects back when they were not famous. |

Send me back to the disco era but as an adult this time so I can fully enjoy it with the drinking and permiscuous sex. I already lived through it once as a child watching grown folks party and all I got was a damn soft drink and a few rare sneak peaks in dirty magazines. Everyone was like "wait your turn, you'll be grown one day" but hell, when I got grown the fun was almost over. Andy is a four letter word. |

I think it would be cool to go back in time just to observe things and not to be apart of it. To see what really happen when JFK got shot, who is Jack the ripper, did a UFO really crashed in Roswell. |

That's what I thought too. I don't want to really live in the time & place of Jesus, but it would be cool to be an observer.
In general I assume the past to be very stinky. |

yep, 15 maybe 17 years ought to do it. But I have thought of what it would have been like to be a casual observer to various events in history, but no I wouldn't want to live in those times. |
