I'm making goulash!

AGAIN!

drool it was so incredibly good first time I made it last week

It turns out to be not so hard to make with a slow cooker.

(mine looked just like this picture I found on the internet)

only difference is I made spätzle to go with it - those ARE hard to make if you don't have the right tools. I made more sticky mess than I would have liked to lol

cool

what are you making?

I'm the mistake you wanna make

Rococo

i finished making Som Tom( Thai Green Papaya Salad)

less traditional thought, not as much peppers, my mother hates them. I wish i took a picture of it.

Your food looks yummers.

I prepared a honey stout beef pot roast to put in the crock pot tomorrow. I just love coming home from a long day's work to the wonderful aroma.

I have a Viennese cookbook, so I could tell you what that has in it (when I googled for pix mine looks nothing like a Hungarian Goulash hmmm wonder how they make it in Prague, different again no doubt) you fry up 4 diced onions with paprika in oil, then brown all the chuck steak (1.5kg cut into cubes) and throw it all in the slow cooker. I put in about 4 garlic cloves, 2 tsp marjoram, 1tsp caraway seeds, top it up with water and I'm cooking it for as long as it takes for the meat to just fall apart. Season with salt and pepper. It's not very complex flavourwise, just really hearty drool since it's winter here that is PERFECT.

YUM! My hubby makes a great goulash. It is too hot here for anything like that. We will be having some ribs on the grill with salad & Tzatzaki for me, I am not up to eating meat yet. Had a stomach bug this week.

Oh my god, I've been looking for this Barbie because I had her growing up (still have her actually) and I didn't remember her name. She came with a chair and a hair tool. So thanks to this thread I now know she's Twirl and Curl Barbie. I'm going to look for the commercial now.

They're normally longer. The texture is a bit like a cross between a noodle and a dumpling, and they're divine with any type of gulasch/goulash or stew on top foodnow

Tonight I'm working on this recipe from Cooking Melangerie: Roast Marinated Chicken w/ Mango Salsa. Just adding a little pureed mango jam to glaze it over a bit:

Roasted Marinated Chicken 1

serving that with large pearl cous cous mixed with veggies from Threemany Cooks:CousCousSQ

and a plain arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette
