pms

it's tough on BOTH people in a relationship... any guy that thinks it's not a real problem, and that women are just using it for an excuse are wrong... but then again it can be tough for a guy to deal with...it can be like going out with two entirely different women... you might do something that upsets your partner that would have been completely fine a few days previously... i think for guys the key is to recognise where it's coming from...that helps you deal with it... same for the ladies...it's been my experience that some women who suffer from pms don't even realise what it is.. (try telling 'em omfg) ... there's a lot women can do to ease the symptoms... such as evening primrose..and vitamins etc... one of the worst things is sweet food... a lot of women crave sweets at this time...yet it will only make them worse... a vicious cycle... i remember one girl i was with... after a particularly emotional night from hell...went shopping the next day... she returned with a swiss double chocolate cheese cake, exclaiming "look honey...i bought you a present" i wanted to run and hide under the freakin' bed...she might as well have walked in swinging an axe!
it can also get so bad that in some extreme cases it can lead to suicide.. or murder
i guess what i'm trying to say is that i think in a relationship, it's a problem for BOTH people... guys need to be as supportive as possible... but it's not always easy
you gay dudes don't know how lucky you are .. smile

I'll admit it, I can get pretty bitchy sometimes and then there are times when I just wanna cry for no reason, then I find myself going to the store buying cookies, cakes and candy.

I appreciate what you're saying, Bliss, but PMS does not cause suicide or murder. There are way more things wrong with someone who commits either than a few hormones going crazy every month. And not every girl gets it, and for those of us who do, the symptoms vary, and to what degree.

That said, PMS sucks. Period. ( wink ) A girl with any ounce of intelligence and/or self-awareness knows when she's got it, what it is, and how to deal with it. Raging hormones are no excuse to behave like a raving bitch (IMHO), just like having a bad day at work doesn't give anyone the right to take it out on someone else later.

It's hormones. We can't control what happens to our bodies. It's how we deal with it that counts.

Personally, I never get bitchy, I just get depressed. I'll cry at the drop of a hat. My way to deal with it is to NOT talk about anything important/emotional with anyone and watch movies that'll make me cry and get it all out. Something cathartic.

I'm mean and emotional when it's that time to get a visist from my monothly friend. It's true you do crave alot of sweet stuff especailly chocolate love, but I heard that sex is good 2 release cramps, sex and hot tea. So my advice to men is when u know ur woman is pmsing be senstive towards her needs, back massages are great, listen to her when she seems stress and crying and don't know the reasons why, a woman is senstive in these dayz so it's important for a man to be senstive and understanding make alot of love and always have a hot cup of tea prepare... nod

I know a lot of women that claim to have extreme PMS and it's a crock of shit. We're adults and we should be able to handle some monthy hormones. It's okay to be edgy and upset sometimes, but I refuse to use menstruation as an excuse to act like a whiny bitch-ass baby. If I were a guy and had a gf who acted like that every month, I wouldn't put up with it.

rolleyes And I know female orgers will now reply to this, bitching about how I must be one of the lucky girls who doesn't get it. Kiss it, you don't know me! Here's a concept: SELF CONTROL! Don't treat your man or others around you like that because of PMS. nana

It makes no difference if we are understanding and sensitive to the female plight.

If the woman is a BITCH then she'll
be one regardless of her PMS and regardless how we treat her.

PMS (and the menstruation/ovualation cycle in general) is IMO the definative proof that there is a God and that it is in fact a man with a sick sense of humour.

If Darwin's evolutionary theory of the survial of the fittest is indeed true, how the fuck how can blood pouring out you vagina for 4-5 days a month (and all the associated hormonal changes that go with it) be considered a evolutionary benefit? Do any other female members of a species on this planet have to deal with this shit?
