The 2012 NBA PLayoffs The teams and seedings are all set. The second season starts Saturday. I just hope the Knicks don't get swept.
Eastern Conference: Bulls vs. 76ers Celtics vs. Hawks Pacers vs. Magic Heat vs. Knicks
Western Conference: Spurs vs. Jazz Grizzlies vs. Clippers Lakers vs. Nuggets Thunder vs. Mavericks
.....and I have to add I'm SO happy seeing the bitch Michael Jordan fail as an executive. He makes Isiah Thomas look like a genius.

He hasn't failed yet. They're going to get a VERY high pick in a draft stacked with great players (possibly the first pick - but that rarely happens). They also dumped all their expensive contracts so they have a ton of money to spend. Nope, he hasn't failed....
yet!
It's certainly possible that he's going to, though. I have no argument for that.

REALLY looking forward to the playoffs this year.

You have to understand he's still bitter about the 90s', The Knicks could never get pass Jordan & the Bulls.

Plus, he was one of the biggest whiners I ever saw on the basketball court. He whined more than Oscar Robertson & Kevin McHale. I respect the man's greatness, but I hate the mfer, just like I do Reggie Miller & Larry Bird.
To me, the east comes down to Chicago & Miami. But the west is wide open. Everyone's jumping on the OKC bandwagon, but the Spurs are battle-tested, better defensively and healthy. Watch out for Memphis - those cats are physical and deep.

I don't know man, as a Bulls fan I kinda worry D-Rose is battling all kinds of nagging injuries, and to be honest I'm scare of the 76ers Collins got them boys playing with confindence & hunger and that's a deadly combination. I'm with you on Memphis, OKC is soft somebody on that team should have been kick out of that game after that hit Artest delivery to Harden...even if it was the 12th man.

Agree about Memphis, but they won't make it to the WCF.
I haven't seen anybody who is better than OKC and SA in the West throughout the entire season. OKC's scoring comes from a few people, but their bench is deep, too. They have a lot of bodies to throw at other teams.
I'd like to agree about Chicago, but I also think they could go out in the first round. We'll see.
Man, MJ wasn't CLOSE to a big whiner. Half the time dude just gave the refs a funny look. A whiner is, like, EVERYBODY on the current Celtics team.
We can agree about Reggie, though. I hate that dude with a passion.

I bet they would have if it wasn't two games before the end of a tiring but succesful season. That was good coaching or good awareness on the part of the players. They had a chance at taking the West and/or having the best record in the league and they need everybody around with no drama for the playoffs.
Now if that had been the second game of the season I bet you it would have been a whole lot worse.

Also, if Amar'e gets hurt again the Knicks have a chance of beating the Heat, too.

Hard Defense & The Knicks:confuse: they Playing BETTER Defense not hard.

True. | |

Hopefully New York does a good job... this is gonna be up for me. I guess whoever I think plays real good will be the one to win it this year.

The fact that Chicago won the east with Rose missing a bunch of games says something about that team and coach. I have no doubt they'll make it to the conference finals.
Celtics/Hawks, Grizzlies/Clippers & Thunder/Mavs are the most interesting opening round series. In the others, the team with home-court will win out.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I will not be surprised about Chicago. I heard how good they've been playing all season...
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well I WANT the finals to be Lakers/Bulls. But I don't give the Lakers more than a 40% chance of getting there. Also, I think when teams have a day off in between games to rest and gameplan for the Bulls that somebody may take them out. They do still have weaknesses, their best player not playing all the time being the biggest.
I actually think the sixteen teams that made it deserve it and I'm expecting some good series. At least nobody under .500 made it in this year.

But this season was broken. The playoffs are going to be totally different with a day off in between every game to rest and make adjustments.

That is true. | |

I can attest the 76ers have been more of a rollercoaster this season than the Intimidator at Carowinds. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I want these games to start so bad I think I'm going to go to bed early so I can stop jonesin'.

Eastern Conference Playoffs, 1st Round
Game 1
Right now Bulls fans are gasping and holding their breath, as Derrick Rose left the game with a little over a minute to play with what appears to be a serious knee injury.

I didn't pick them to go far, anyway. Although Rose, is a good player, he lives and dies by that jumpshot and it usually gets him in trouble, especially late in games. My money is on Dallas or OKC. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I remember that that was where Chicago would go wrong. Derrick would get sloppy during playoff games. I forgot Dallas are world champs sometimes so I'm still a Dallas fan.

They just hinted the Rose injury could be weeks, not days, on the ABC halftime show. I'm not sayin' that I said this was going to happen, but I kinda did.

Just an ugly first half performance by the Knicks. Too many turnovers, bad fouls and some shitty calls. Guess I can do my errands now - this game is over.

I'm glad you agree it was both, though. I was waiting to see what you had to say about it.

Damn. The Heat are up by 32 now.

Actually, that "foul" called with him falling outta bounds was a joke. -
