I wish I had as much willpower as u guys! The day I found out I was pregnant I gave up cigarettes, alcohol, antidepressants, coke and e's all in one go! (I don't mean coca cola)

I have never touched any of them again except the very very occasional drink!

But sugar brings me to my knees! I can't do it!

I think it's my replacement for all the other things!

If you want. I'll be doing it again next week (and probably all summer), so I'll still be here! smile

whew

OK, I had to get that out because I put Stevia in my coffee because I had no cream... just 1% milk and I NEED a sweetener if I have no cream.

NASTY!!!! OMG NASTY!!!

Now I am high on my benadryl because I am allergic to stevia in its raw form. sigh

My major sugar issue I noticed starts with this damned coffee. neutral I need to be sugar free with my coffee.... thank God I drink Bustello!

Have you ever tried Truvía? It's a blend of stevia and erythritol (a natural sugar alcohol). Don't know how it might affect your allergy - but since Truvía is a blend, it might be better.

That's not a good way to start off the morning. A while back I had to skip coffee cause nothing tasted as good as sugar in it to me and it didn't set the day right if I was unhappy with the taste of a simple cup of coffee. I don't know how you feel about Sweet n' Low, I can do that in tea very well but not coffee, but everybody's different.

Did you let your doctor know that you were using alcohol, cigarettes, cocaine and ecstasy during your pre-conception and early pregnancy?

Did you have your baby yet?

And not a moment too soon. I weighed myself this morning - I've gained four pounds in the last few months. confused

Raw stevia (powdered) is like a VERY sweet mint. Its also a member of the ragweed family. :sneeze:Found this out AFTER I bought it. disbelief

@ Morningsong and Punkmistress... Truvia has and aftertaste to me and so does all those other artificial sweeteners (Slenda, SweetNLow, Nutrasweet) and I hate that. I could never drink anything diet because of it. Its gross to me. I need a clean finish.

So I use raw sugar to try to be healthier... coffee does my asthma good, but tea does nothing for me and I take tea with no sugar at all.... unless its black tea and the powdered raw Stevia works fine with that weirdly enough.

I have powdered honey I may try... it tastes weird though, I am afraid to put that mess in my coffee.

I may just need to get oily with it and buy half n half.... if it ain't one demon its another I'm telling you.

lol

Has anyone tried powdered honey? Genesia? Any other foodies in the audience? Anyone ? Bueller?

Back to the topic.

Whatever comes into the home is eaten. Right now I only have diet soda here so there is some hope, SOME of making it a few days.

I am so much better than I use to be and that fact that I weigh 54 lbs less than I once did proves it.

Yep I have 3 very healthy beautiful kids! This was 9 years ago, and I've never touched any of it again apart from one cigarette I found gross, and very occasional drink. I didn't want to be that kind of mum!

I usually have "no sweets" weeks anyways... occasionally I'd break it and eat an ice cream cone. I prefer that over cake.

I like sweets but I'm not an addict.
