Recommend good NYC nightspots for foreign tourists! OK, tourists:
5 Chinese girls Ages 21-25 All well to do, but not looking for 'high so' clubs.
What kind of fun spots can they visit for nightlife?
and during the day?
I've been to NYC before, and had a nice time. But, my venues would not be ones they would have hung out in.

^ Trump Tower isn't a club/night spot - it's a skyscraper with residences and commercial space. There's not really anything to *see* there.
Dan, I don't know what "high so clubs" means; and I'm out of the swanky nightlife loop but I think the Meatpacking District is pretty good for hip nightlife. If they're here in the summer I would research hotel rooftop bars maybe -- like Hotel Gansevoort, for example. Here's an article with a list: http://www.timeout.com/ne...ars-in-nyc . I can't really vouche for what the crowds are like; I've only been to the Gansevoort but it was for a private Prince concert.
For daytime there's always shopping on Fifth Avenue and SoHo.
You're not giving me much to work with as to what type of things they like. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Le Bain at the Standard Hotel sounds cool (and gay ) but it has a nice view and bubble bath! I'm the mistake you wanna make

OK, 20-something Chinese girls will have the mentality and maturity of a 16 to 18 year old just due to social norms, etc., but the sex drive of a 30 year old.
But, I think they'd be in to anything that is CLEAN, wholesome, but upbeat. Anything "Americana" would make them happy, but nothing too educational or taxing on the brain. Asians hate to learn unless forced to. (yeah--i know that sounds racist, but being in Asia for 3 years, i can tell you it is accurate).
So, no museaums unless they are really interesting or provide for good photo ops.

Oh also, day time venues can't be out in the sun lest these poor girls risk tanning, but the indoor locations must be well lit so that when they take photos, they can adjust the exposure more easily to make their skin appear as white as possible.

Those are good recommendations, I think...although I don't know nothin' about nothin' when it comes to this group of ladies. But I would add that the Lower East Side is a really, really fun and happening area to go out in, and they should check it out.

Okay so do they want sex or clean and wholesome? Maybe the Museum of Sex?
Sounds like they would be happy with supre touristy stuff: Times Square, the Apple Store (on 59th & Fifth), shopping on Fifth Ave (starting at 59th), SoHo. New York is a walking city so they are going to have to be outside, even when shopping. There is an indoor mall at Columbus Circle (59th and Central Park West), but I think the shops on Fifth and in SoHo would be better.
A new Uniqlo store just opened on Fifth and 53rd - it looks bright and the type of place 20-something tourists would like. Also, the Abercrombie & Fitch store at 56th(?) and Fifth always has scantily-clad, clean-cut, preppy, shirtless "all-American" guys in their doorway and they encourage pictures! The lighting is really dark though.
Would it be in bad taste to send them to Canal Street (Chinatown) to look for knock-off designer handbags?
Send them to Union Square or Washington Square Park, which is in the West Village and right by NYU.
Tell them to get find a Sprinkles or Magnolia Bakery and buy a cupcake.
They might like to eat at Beauty & Essex; you have to go through a pawn shop and secret entrance to get to it. Reservations probably needed.

I hear the 'Kiss & Fly' or Santos' Party Room are excellent. Hard to get in but...if it's a group of good looking girls - they should be able to bend the rope.
And they could take the Ferry to Staten Island and visit Frederick's of Hollywood
