I was watching this movie on tv during the evening a few days ago and there was this dude who had roaches in his house.

Anyways he opened a box of cereal and as he was pouring the cereal into a bowl ..... these roaches fell out of the box with the cereal into the bowl.

I am so turned off of cereal

I don't know about movies that show that but I just laugh at that. Like you gonna put roaches in someone's cereal just like that? That's fucked up I don't care if it's horror purposes. Wouldn't stop me eating cereal though but I can see how that'll spook someone out though.

I think I will just stick to toast or pancakes for now

That shit was funny to me. I forgot the plot line to that story but I guess this guy "had it coming" or something.

Creepshow is actually one of my favorite horror films.

I have a great-aunt who use to love $1,000,000 Bars (I think that is what they are called) anyways, she'd been wanting one for days, stopped to get gas and bought one.

She's driving in the car, unwraps the candy bar and takes a couple bites of it. It was "off", didn't seem right so she looks at the candy bar and there are WORMS squirming in it!!!

She had to pull off the road and puke!!!

She never ate another of those candy bars again.

I had that exact experience with a bag of pistachios, only it was just ONE nut. A whole bunch of them were fine. Then, all of a sudden, one of them tasted like crap. I spit it out and it was full of little worms things AND eggs. Ew. Freaked me out so bad that I didn't eat them for years. Didn't even want to crack them open. That was a long time ago, though. I think I was still a teenager. Probably wouldn't bother me as much these days.

That's why you put your food in seal proof containers. No roaches that way. I had relatives in the deep south that had a roach problem. You couldn't put food down, without a roach approach.

Commercial cereals are made from unfermented grains - so they have high levels of phytic acid. That makes them difficult to digest - and for the body to get any sort of nutrition from them.

In addition, cereals like corn flakes are made from a slurry that is heated to high temperature and force through an extruder. That damages the grains to a point where they may actually be unhealthy.

If you must eat cereal (I never do, and I get along just fine), you're better off making your own fermented oatmeal or granola.
