^ Yeah, he didn't get it being Puffy Bitch's son. Look at what he accomplished to GET THERE. Now if he had gotten there being Puffy Bitch's son, I'd been as mad too.

How about this idea: P. Diddy gives back to the financially strapped U.C. system by establishing a an academic scholarship in his name that also takes economic factors into consideration... YES!!! if he AND all the other MULTI-MILLIONAIRES decided to put back into the scools that have taken their kids, ESSPEACIALLY the fucks that only got outta high school because of their family name, on a free ride (endowment), if they took into concideration that people really need the help then THOUSANDS could afford to get in scool on the money that was FREELY given to those who DON'T NEED IT!!!
like me i need it!!! i am KING BAD!!!

Look, I understand the altruistic and moral components of the arguments. The SENTIMENT comes from a good place.
Justin Combs earned that scholarship.
I repeat, he earned that scholarship.
He is an elite high school football player. Family or economic pedigrees mean nothing to a football program. Jim Mora Jr. offered this kid because he believes he can cover the stud wideouts at USC, Oregon, and other PAC-10 schools. Justin may not have been UCLA's first choice, but he was good enough to earn that football scholarship there, or somewhere else.
All of you on the "anti-" side -- do you realize how difficult, fast and brutal BCS football is? This kid will be working year round to train, practice, and play. If he doesn't, he can be cut.
I didn't hear anyone complaining when Peyton and Eli Manning got football scholarships. Recall that their parents were millionaires. Or any of the athletes who get full rides at schools all over the country who come from upper income or even "1 Percenter" households. I'm not a huge Diddy fan, but why pick on his kid?
It seems to me the real problem the "anti's" on this issue have is with the money in sports and emphasis on sports over academics. A lot of the money that will fund this scholarship comes out of the athletic department, not the academic budget. Boosters, TV revenue, conference revenue and sponsors are funding these scholarships.
I understand the unfairness of it all. But it's not like they're going to give an A student that money if he can't defend passes. [Edited 6/1/12 8:18am] Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

How about P. Diddy does what he likes with the money he earned? Meanwhile, you make your own millions and do the same. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

You realize that even though Justin is good enough for the scholarship, having him on the roster helps recruitment of other star athletes who come from disadvantaged homes. Which 16 year-old star athlete wouldn't wanna hang out with Diddy's kid?
The better the team is, the more money UCLA earns. The more money UCLA earns, the bigger the share that goes back into the school. UCLA will benefit financially from Combs being there.
And . . . by the time this is over . . . Diddy himself may stroke a check to UCLA. He makes the full cost of 5 college educations in a weekend.
