Regarding the file-finder bit...I find that navigating through this thing (the Android phone) is annoying. I liked my old Blackberry better in that regard. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Yeah, you have freedom, all right.
The freedom to have the Android OS on a sucky phone that Google has no interest in or support for since they already got their money from HTC or Samsung or whatever "piece of shit-maker" they sold their OS to.
The freedom to be totally fucked over when Google issues a system update that suddenly makes the OS too big to run properly on the phone you have. But of course, they won't warn you that you're about to be fucked, because that might be perceived as a weakness, in addition to the total we-don't-care-cuz-we-already-got-our-money attitude mentioned earlier.
The freedom to have buggy, piece-of-shit apps that you pay for without recourse when they turn out to be buggy pieces of shit.
The freedom to need app-killer apps because the Google OS likes to launch battery-sucking apps on its own - whether you want them to run or not.
The freedom to need file-finder apps because everything is hidden, and therefore impossible to find, on the damn phone.
Yeah, boy - I really miss all that since I got my iPhone. Yeah...the file finding thing is awkward. I don't like that. But I've only paid for one app...a music player for the equalizer function...not buggy at all...any other app was free. If one has paid for an app on Android, they're a fool....maybe not a fool...but there's not much need to pay for apps.

I've not paid for any apps and not had any issues with my Galaxy S. I have more issues with my piece of shit service provider, Bell. I will probably pick up the new S3 in a few months.

Good call.
I've owned FOUR Android phones to date - including the G1 which was the very first one. I've never any of these issues you speak of. Methinks you made a bad choice with a budget phone (don't expect premium quality from a midrange) and also probably picked a devices heavily altered by the cellphone carrier.
Also, you appear to have NO understanding how Android works. First of all, it's an open-source OS so Google don't "sell" it to anyone as you incorrectly claimed. Any manufacturer is free to take the code and use it on their device. Secondly, no, Google don't offer support for things other companies do. That's why their have their own "Nexus" line of products - the latest being the Galaxy Nexus. These get updates and support DIRECTLY from Google. You want full Google support, buy a Nexus device.
Google don't push out updates either to non-Nexus devices. The carriers do. If your phone got screwed by a bad update, it's Verizon's fault. Blame them, not Google. Again, if you have a problem with what carriers do, you buy a Nexus. I've never used a buggy app - and you think there aren't buggy piece of shit apps for iOS too? LOL
If you think Android requires task managers to kill apps, you know nothing about it. Task Killers are useless and do more harm that good - http://geekfor.me/faq/you...h-android/
There's been a native file manager app since Android 3.0. Compare to that iOS 5 which still doesn't have widgets, effective multitasking, live wallpapers, etc.
You were incorrect on every single point you made, so don't expect anyone to take you seriously.

Ooohh!!! I like the look of that. Moto have been making some great products. The design is similar to my Xoom 2 Media Edition, which I sold my Nook Color in order to get.

Yeah, I guess it is. The reviewers have been all creamy over the new galaxy. I haven't seen a single review that shows a preference to the iphone over this.

I am on my second iPhone and waiting the 5 to come out. I find it easy to use - very intuitive and the battery charge and speed are great.
All smart phone are pretty competitive now-a-days, but being so pleased and having little to no complaints about my iPhone will keep me in the Apple zone for a while (I prefer Apple as my home computer and LOVE my iPad as well)

So one thing I was wondering about the iphone.
I was travelling with my brother and he spoke his destination into the phone and got turn by turn voice directions. I can't figure out how to do this. I can ask Siri, and she will give me a map & written directions but the bitch will not say "turn right at X Street"
And I don't think I can talk to mapquest. I don't want to be typing and reading while I drive. My Legacy

Yeah, Android has has built in GPS navigation for free for about 2 years now.
When they launched it, Garmin and Tom Tom's stock dropped by about 20%
Apple won't have a competing solution to this for at least two years. |

I just recently got the HTC Sensation XE upgrading from an old Blackberry and I'm very happy with it.
I already have an iPad, iMac and an iPod Touch. The expense of the iPhone contracts just isn't worth it. My other devices do me perfectly well for all the fun apps and games that might not be available outside of iTunes. There's no way I could justify doubling what I spend on my contract just to have an iPhone.
Plus EVERYONE I know who has an iPhone which is a lot of people has the following problems:
1. It takes about 5-10 attempts to call them before they will be able to to hear their phone if outside before they will answer as the volume of the ring is so low. In fact I called my best friend over 25 times when he was late for an important appointment once and when he finally turned up, his phone only had 3 missed calls.
2. They spend so long playing around with the apps/games/internet that when they actually need to use the device as a phone in an emergency at the end of the day, the battery is dead. 3. Siri doesn't work for anyone with a hint of an accent, although I find this amusing [Edited 6/2/12 2:24am]

Had my iphone for 3 years now. Could listen to mp3s emailed to me since day 1. Needed to as it was part of my job.
Love my phone BTW. Only phone I ever had which I could say was everything I ever needed and more. Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Will see what Apples new mapping system entails which is being released within next couple of months alongside the iphone 5 if my ears are correct... Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Yes, they have purchased a few small-fish mapping companies and are hastily cobbling them together in a pathetic effort to remove Google services from their device.
Not a hope in hell in matching the years of development and information that Google Maps has..... hell, even trying to compete with Street View alone would take Apple at least three years from now.
If you're lucky, Google Maps should remain available in the App Store for people who would like to continue using the world's best mapping service.

I use the navigation app that came with my iPhone - never had a problem with it - even used it in Italy - worked just fine.
All the people I know who have droids are constantly charging them and have battery issues. The battery life on both the iPhone and iPad is awesome. of course I take pictures and ocassional video with my iPhone - but it is primarily a phone for me, and so I find that I have plenty of battery life for everything I need - calls, texting, et al.
I am perfectly happy with my iPhone and will continue to upgrade and buy them in the future.

THe mapquest app does it, but the maps are not nearly as good as google maps. My Legacy
