So let's say that an alien spaceship actually makes its way to our little rock.

What would your reaction be?

• would you welcome them with open arms?
• would you pack your bags and head for the hills?
• would you pray?
• would you cry?
• would you pop a can of beer and turn the news back to American Idol?

I know it's difficult to know for sure until you're actually faced with that scenario...but what does your gut instinct say?

For the record...

I think that I would pack a survival kit and have the car fully fueled in case I need to head for the mountains.

But I'd be cautiously optimistic that it would be a good thing and stay glued to the news day & night.

I think I would be relieaved.

Because, certain religions would not end...but they would need to evolve.

To me, I don't know if they would come anyways...if they even exist.

I've answered this before...

I would do everything I could to get as close to them as possible. If I could communicate that I wanted them to take me with them, assuming they were leaving, I would. If they were asking for volunteers, I'd beat a mf'er down to get to the front of the line. I'm all about gettin' off this rock. If they weren't taking people I would still want to get as close as possible. See all I could. Touch them. Smell them. Whatever.

And I guess I agree with imago a little - I would be relieved. But more so because I'd know I was right in my belief that they're out there, somewhere.
