I grew up without air conditioning. To this day my folks don't have it.

The past 15 years with the ex I grew to love A/C. I also got allergies, which I never had before.

Someone told me that living with the A/C on all the time dries out your sinuses and makes you suseptible to allergies.

Well...I'm going to try to deal with the heat as much as possible, the way I used to.

That means driving with the windows down, and sleeping with no A/C.

...well...for as much as possible at least.

The weather has been a little bit of a let-down here for the past few weeks, but it's been absolutely gorgeous here the past few days. I lurve the heat. I love spending days on the beach with my family... picnics in the countryside.... lazing in the garden with a glass of pimms... barbecue's with friends until late in the evening...being happy about getting out of bed early in the mornings... being able to hang washing on the and it actually dries. I like all of this. I am totally at my best during the summer months.

I am going to Turkey in a few weeks time and i'm determined to be in some kind of half-decent shape so I can wear a bikini (for the first time in 9 years). I also treated myself to some cute little dresses which i'm looking forward to wearing.

I haven't completely given up hope of coming over this year... but it's looking difficult with work - i've used up most of my holiday already...and also finances are a bit iffy.

If I don't get over in 2012, I promise right here, right now that i'll be over in 2013.
