I got sooouuul, and I'm superdad!

I got laid-off for the summer. Pretty typical where I live in actually, so I'm not feeling devastated due to it. So yeah, that's one definitive sign that the summer has finally arrived.

It's an unflattering picture shot from an unflattering angle. With the right lighting, hair tamed, and make-up appropriate for her age, she could look great.

The weather has been a little bit of a let-down here for the past few weeks, but it's been absolutely gorgeous here the past few days. I lurve the heat. I love spending days on the beach with my family... picnics in the countryside.... lazing in the garden with a glass of pimms... barbecue's with friends until late in the evening...being happy about getting out of bed early in the mornings... being able to hang washing on the and it actually dries. I like all of this. I am totally at my best during the summer months.

.....and now for the girlie bit....

I am going to Turkey in a few weeks time and i'm determined to be in some kind of half-decent shape so I can wear a bikini (for the first time in 9 years). I also treated myself to some cute little dresses which i'm looking forward to wearing.

Here in Michigan, Winter skipped over us. It felt like Spring the entire season. So am I ready for Summer? Hell No! I never am. Summer is a very uncomfortable time for me. I pretty much become a hermit during the hot months. I hate it. When I went to sleep last night at 11:00p, it was still 86 degees! HATE IT!!!!
