OK, so i have been on this shoot for my old film school. And we have been working with some models for this short film, i befriended this Filipino model that started work this week.

He was on a previous shot so we had talked before, we eventually started talking some more and he came on set today all upset. I asked him what's up? and he was like crying and freaking out cause i guess he found naked pics of himself on tumblr.....

I guess he expected me to go :O =O, But i just said well.... how many guys have you been sending naked pics to? and he tried to tell me oh it was last year, i was 18 & young and just coming out....

To which i replied and.... what does that have to do with showing the ass? , he apparently told me he didn't realize people could just post his shit on tumblr , to which i told him DUH they can post it ANYWHERE it can be on cell phones, porn sites, adam4adam or whatever.

He just seemed shocked that i wasn't sympathizing with him, but when you do that type of thing you have to expect the fact anything you post can be put well...anywhere

If someone is taking naked pics that is there business of course, and some do it and don't cry about it cause they know it could go anywhere. But to be shocked and act like you didn't know those pics could end up on sites like tumblr seems silly to me

What do you guys think? was i to harsh? or should he just expect that type of thing?

I don't think you were harsh. We live in a world where anything and everything is made public. I can't believe anyone would be naive enough to think something like that would not get out.

Now back in the day (mid 90's), I took some prevocative pictures. And though the internet was NOTHING like it is now, even my underaged ass wondered if it was possible that someone would get their hands on the negatives from the K-mart photo booth. Or that one of my friends would start showing the pictures to random people, especially after I had a falling out with those friends. Unless you are trying to take your career in that direction, leave your body to memory.

P.S. If you see any topless pics of me floating around, know they are technically child porn.

SPEAKING of that, the way he made it sound at first. Was that he was underage, and i had to explain that the people posting could be in HUGE HUGE HUGE trouble if they are underage pics.

I don't get why people just don't say NO to taking nude photos when they're with someone. Then when they finally give into peer pressure, when the relationship breaks up, the ex leaks the pictures and it's there for EVERYONE to see. I don't get the fascination with being nude especially if you initially didn't intend for it to be public. Somebody will find a way to leak someone's nudes online. So nah you weren't harsh to him. He's gonna have a lot to learn since he's still young and (thankfully) over the age of showing the nudes in the first place.

When I was 20 I really was convinced that relationship would last forever. And internet didn't exist yet. The photo's do, though.

Not harsh, you were rigth and put the whole thing in perspective. He doesn't need to be unhappy for the rest of his life over this mistake.

He can just deny it to everybody and forever. Nothing new.
