Dear org family,

I have a friend of mine who's really in trouble academically. He's going before the academic committee next week to potentially have another chance at redoing the year and not dropping out. I'm so afraid for him and I hope the committee gives him the chance he deserves. He had a very rough year battling depression and I don't want to see his future in jeopardy. He's much better now and feels ready to have one more chance.

So as a concerned friend and collegue, I humbly ask of you, dear friends, to send your prayers and positives thoughts for my friend Austin in the hopes he gets another chance. The power of group prayer is a force to be reckoned with and as PurpleJedi once said, the universe listens.

I was on probation after my first year too for similar reasons and was told to get a higher average the following year and I'd be ok, and it worked out.

I just wish I could do more but I know in the end he's the one who's gonna have to help himself. He meets with the academic committee on Thursday and I hope they'll give him the chance he deserves.

Yeah I agree, a big change helps for these type of things. Could he live closer to school if he wasn't before?
