Anybody here find their passion in life like Prince?

I was reading up on Prince's life and found out he started writing music at 7! It seems a lot of people who are successful found their passion early on in life.

I was inspired by Prince and by Steve Jobs' speech

so I wanted to find my passion and found this article

I have some ideas now on what my passions are but I'm wondering if anybody here can tell me what it's like to do it. I imagine it has to be the best feeling in the world, waking up on Monday looking forward to work. What's it like? Are you making good money? Do you regret it?

I don't know if I've truly found my passion but about 5 years ago, I decided I didn't want my life to be just about working to help other people persue their dreams (I'm an assistant) so I began writing a novel. I've worked really hard at it and am almost finished. I work on it almost every day, even if it's only for a few minutes and I hope it turns into something. I feel better knowing that at least that's one thing I can cross off my things I want to do in that space between my birth and death date on my tombstone, and plan on writing another once this is is finished. It does give me purpose other than just work and home and socializing and makes me feel that I am doing something for me. smile

I took my first acting lesson when I was 9 - and I'm still acting. I don't make my living at it, but I think that makes it even more of a passion - since I have to commit crazy amounts of time to it in addition to everything else I do.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Awesome! That's how John Grisham got started. You're on the right track smile Keep it up! Perhaps you will be the next Grisham or Patterson. Much rsepect for people who write novels. Not as easy as it looks.
