Tami Roman Offers Kesha Nichols A Public Apology

Kesha Tami Basketball Wives
At the end of tonight’s Basketball Wives episode, Tami Roman appeared to do some soul searching after her argument with Kesha Nichols escalated and got to a point of no return. Despite her time in anger management this season, her emotions got the best of her and took it out on Kesha. Now that the episode has aired and the conversation about the fight has reached a fever pitch, Tami has written an apology to Kesha on her Facebook page. She says:

I don’t apologize for it 2b accepted — that is ultimately the other person’s right to accept or deny it. My only responsibility is to acknowledge a mistake was made and own up to it. I apologize to my family, my REAL friends, my business colleagues, and my Project Girl ladies 4my recent behavior on BBW. I am NOT a bully as depicted on the show, but I did make poor decisions in handling my differences with my cast mate. I sincerely apologize to all of us, as well as to my castmate who was on the receiving end of my wrath.

Kesha has also responded to the recent episodes with a blog post of her own. In it she writes “As a person who prides myself on turning lemons in lemonade, I had no idea how to turn the negative display of human behavior seen in Episode 12 into something positive, until now. Instead of knit picking, pointing fingers and calling names, I decided to educate myself on the issue at hand. I would like to share some of this information with you now, because when we know better, we do better,” and from there, she simply addresses the topic of bullying. You can read the whole post here.

spit She must had really gone off the deep end in last night's episode. Girl I skipped it like I said I would. I am though going to catch Closet Freak's synopsis on the episode today when I get off from work.

I really liked Tami when she started because she was the one chick that was checking Evelyn and Jen. But that shit she did last night made my stomach turn.. Shit she even made Evelyn cried cause the way the she treated that poor girl ( but Evelyn doesn't want any problems with Tami) But Tami needs to go!!!

Tami was a simple person, very relatable and down to earth when she first got on the show. Now just because she got a make-over and evolved as the show's central character next to Evelyn, the popularity has clearly messed with her head and she must've thought it was a pass to act a damn fool at every given opportunity to remain relevant. Sorry, but the shit backfired, Tami. Just because you're popular on reality tv again or one of the 'It Girls' by default since Jennifer got frozen out, or you accept the fact that you're a bully does not give you a pass to terrorize other people. This was worse than that time Jen & Ev crashed someone's charity event and told the hostess that they get invited to everything whether the girl liked it or not or not. Then yet and still, these girls want to cry foul and victim that they are the ones being wronged by editing and start howling that they are not bullies. GTFOH with that madness.

You know, there is actually a movement beginning to get this show off the air or get a new cast. You might not believe this, but some people are actually arguing against this movement and claim that those who question the show are jealous or "haterz" or trying to use their disdain of what the show portrays to get attention for themselves whofarted

Boggles the mind.

In other news, on the reality fashion front, seems like the most popular shoes of the moment are these series of spiked shoes from Laboutin. I liked them when I first saw them a couple years ago, but now it appears they're on every reality personality under the sun and a rite of passage to being photographed on reunions, red carpets, and interviews.

It's funny because to me it's such a "statement" style of shoe, I'm surprised to see everyone an their mamas running around in them. They kinda lose the panache when you everyone in them on tv every other week. hmmm

Janet Jackson rocked them first years ago.. I believe it was either during the promotion for 20 Y.O. or during Discipline but C.Laboutin sent them to her

Preach.

When I first saw NeNe with them on at the RHOA reunion, I thought they were hideous. I wouldn't be surprised now that everyone under the sun at this moment in time are rocking them that she would say that it was HER who started this trend. rolleyes But once you see the same shoe on everybody else, its just like wearing a dress to a party you got from JCPenney and then you look up to see two other females had the same idea you had. disbelief

I first saw them in 2007-2008 for an Italian magazine shoot for Rizzoli publishing, I know the sample styles well. Then I remember Janet having them, and the grand dame of EU red carpets, Posh Becks (Victoria Beckham) having them and they seemed to be the only two.

I guess I'm just surprised that everybody and their mama just has to wear these shoes at every event or occasion they're being photographed at. Man, where's the originality and individual style? But then I guess reality tv stars aren't really known for being different or original really, so lol

That girl compared "The Game" to BBW.

I feel "The Game" is infinitely more relevant than BBW and I do hate when people slag it and threaten not to watch. "The Game" is a good example of something that will be missed when it's gone by simple lack of representation. Like "The Mo'nique Show, once it's gone there won't be anything to replace it.

I like that it feels like a realistic representation of what it's like to be on the inside of the whole sports industry. Yes it's soapy, but I'd much rather my melodrama be in a fictional sense rather than a fuax-reality sense. Plus the characters grow on that show. They regress on BBW.

BBW Wives:

Tami is insane and needs to do a serious self evaluation because we seems to be one tantrum away from the institution.

Suzie aka "Thuzee".....that horse face instigator knows she was the one who went back to Tami and keep that shit going and then kept exaggerating shit, telling Tami that Kesha was crying and hiding. You'd think she'd remember when everybody wanted her head last season and she kept getting punked by Evelyn that she'd try to stay out of the drama, with her ole lego block shaped body neutral

but damn, Tami had the nerve to go through Kesha's purse too? That shouldn't surprise me but damn, I did give her trifling ass the benefit of the doubt and just thought that she was just holding the purse hostage, but she went through the girl's purse omfg and none of the them three hookers did anything to help Kesha when they SAW all of this going on? Urgh. Glad I skipped this episode but it only confirms that I'm doing right by deciding not to watch this ungodly awful mess again.

This was one of the craziest reality tv episodes (with fully grown adults) that I think I've ever witnessed on television. It has sparked such public outrage and even national debate on the boundaries of reality tv and it's portrayal of black women that I actually think it's important to see the episode in question to really be able to get to the meat of all the opposing views on the topic. I have to say that for me, I'm in shock at a lot of the cyberspace response that simply said Kesha was weak, vs. her having the good sense to extract herself from a dangerous situation and go into survival mode. Sorry, but Tami was something like being possessed by a demon here:

How far is too far for what we watch on reailty tv, or just television in general?

What does it really mean to be strong vs. weak in life, and where can those labels take you?

Is true strength and success in life determined how fast and able you are to swing on another person?

Girl the debate about positive shows vs. negative shows has heated up so much that Jill Scott recently tweeted her support for Mary Mary being a positive show on WE Tv that showed a real representaion of "us" black women, and the Braxton sisters in all their adulterous dick suckin' braggin about it on national tv glory tried to tag team and go in on Jill Scott shocked My only guess was that it was out of some kind of guilt and insecurity for showing their asses on tv to the point that they had public backlash and their own sister Toni is easing herself out of their show loop to protect her own professional reputation? shrug

You know, i thought that VH1 dating shows used to be the lowest of the low, but just checking out a few more shows in the last year shows me that there was a bit deeper to sink into the abyss before people would see what was going on and take a stand against the craziness. I don't know for sure, but i think we might be on the crest of a wave in a different direction for a lot of reality shows pretty soon. coffee

Evelyn Lozada blogs about her reaction to the Basketball Wives episode in Tahiti

Talk to em’ boo-boo!

Evelyn Lozada Writes Blog About Basketball Wives Image

Last night’s episode was a whirlwind of emotions for everyone. It’s such a sensitive subject for me because I honestly see it from both sides. I’m not here to condemn or condone anyone especially given some of my choices this season, however I will say that once again last night’s episode and all that happened forced me to look at and examine myself in ways that I haven’t in the past. No matter what the situation is, I’m realizing that we as grown women are allowing ourselves to be placed in a position for judgment. I’m confident that I speak for many of us on the show that when it comes to creating a better balance for television, we are all working very hard to do just that. Many of us are getting help for our inner issues and striving to portray a more positive image overall.

Tahiti was just an example of all of us being a true work in progress… Hang in there with us, as we vow to grow and become better!

Until next week!

xoxo,

Ev

Evelyn seems to have had an awakening of sorts after watching the fawkery that has taken place over this season. Hopefully these words are not in vain.

If I'm supposed to believe these words came from the woman who screamed on national tv "I'm a grown as woman and I wanna fuck somebody on gthe first night, I'm gonna fuck", er um, less than a year ago...I think I'm just going to go with her having a really good publicist and agency represention now, and knowing that now that people are in a position with something to lose by displaying her hood-rattishness on national tv, (ie, checks, endorsements & branding opportunities), she's about to change her tune accordingly in order not to rock the (financial) boat to her future.

I'm not sure, but apparently this has become "Act an Ass Week" for AA reality tv personalities?

For the past weeks I've been watching and enjoying the Mary Mary show, pretty much loving it to death because it's family friendly, shows the struggles of balancing motherhood & career, is fun but God centered, and shows (authentic) conflict resolved healthily and from a more (spiritually) evolved place. Jill Scott appeared on the last episode at a family gathering for one of the sisters and sang during a baby shower. It was a touching, old skool family moment in the show that just left you feeling good. Jill tweeted her fans to encourage them to watch and support the show, and then suddenly Tamer Braxton goes batshit crazy, and for what? Why are the Braxton sisters being so insecure about Jill's tweet if they're not ashamed at their behaviors, or feeling pressures of the audience backlash of the last season? I know that I'm very much on the fence for whether I would support a Season 3 of Braxton Family Values simply because it went way too left for me and there were no "Family Values" anywhere to be found toward the end.

Twitter Beef: Jill Scott ...lack Women

Jill Scott and Tamar Braxton

Last night on Twitter, Jill Scott tweeted a random comment about watching a “real” reality show andTamar and Towanda Braxton were not feeling it. The sisters tagged team and went in on Jilly from Philly:

I actually agree with Jill and don't see anything wrong with her tweet. She could have been referring to the whole plethora of foolishness on tv degrading black woman period, and I think for Tamar and Towanda to jump onto Twitter and take the conversation totally left with all those dramatics was childish and spoke of their own issues. For them to act brand new like the conversation hasn't been heating up across the country for the past couple weeks regarding how black women are being portrayed on televsion, and to be that self-centered to think that Scott just had to be talking about them? BFV isn't even on the air right now. But there are a butt-load of other shows all across the board that are, showing black women acting a damned fool from coast to coast. Tamar and all her Tamar-isms are enetertaining and all, but this was definitely a time when she needed to heed her own advice and "have a seat".

Tami really embarrassed herself on national TV with that bullshit! And for Shaunie and Evelyn they should have stepped in and told Tami that that was enough because the girl was scared at the restaurant. And everyone knows that horsehead Thuzie wasn't going to step up for Kesha. These old ass hookers really need to take their trickin asses somewhere and shut the hell up! Tami Roman Gets Run Off Twitter

Tami Roman Gets Run Off TwitterThe heat has finally become too much for Tami Roman to stay in the virtual kitchen.

Roman deleted her twitter account recently. After the airing of Basketball Wives where Tami Roman was blatantly bullying Kesha Nichols, fans began attacking Roman via twitter for her behavior. Roman was weathering the hate storm as she always does until Basketball Wives viewers started attacking her children. Once people started throwing shots at her daughters, Roman had had enough and deleted her account.

Too bad Meeka couldn't had went through with that suit to teach Tami a lesson that you just can't go around assaulting people to "keep it real". But people like her, eventually their "when keeping it real goes wrong" moment. Wondering when it will come? hmmm

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
