Alot of people on here write on the side- Maybe some of the writers should post some of their short story's? Would be interesting to read!

Professional musician/artist. Obviously we have a lot of revenue streams, but 90% of my income comes from songwriting royalties (mostly from radioplay, TV/movie placements, etc) and live shows. The remainder from merchandising and the actual sale of music. I've done guest lectures at a few universities also and I sometimes make documentaries - as a few of you know from hearing the Prince one I did last year smile

I think I have a similar role as yours. My title is Supervisor of the Customer Service desk, my next promotion title will be Team Leader. I don't go to school, and I am a drinker on the side:-P

I am now retired due to disability, but prior to that I was community organizer/Crime Prevention Coordinator. If I had trained Zimmerman, his ass wouldv'e stood down when the police told him so and he wouldn't have been carrying a gun.

I would do some definite research before doing this. In New York, the law profession is undergoing a major shift. There are thousands of unemployed attorneys because the huge "white-shoe" firms don't have enough work. There are thousands of students graduating from law school with $150k of student loan debt who can't find work. (I work with attorneys...) The place I work uses interns from the top law schools - Columbia, Cornell, GW, etc. Columbia University law school is, I think, maybe top 5. A year ago only 11 students out of a class of hundreds were offered jobs. 11! From Columbia!

There are dozens of articles in the New York times about the situation:

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/17/business/law-school-economics-job-market-weakens-tuition-rises.html?pagewanted=all

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/09/business/09law.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/26/business/26lawyers.html?pagewanted=all

And this (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/07/opinion/the-cautionary-tale-of-dewey-leboeuf.html) is all over the "law world" news -- Dewey & LaBoeuf, one of the oldest firms in NYC is bascially imploding. They will most likely be out of business by the end of the month. (Read abovethelaw.com for the sordid details.)

Not saying you shouldn't do it, I would just think very long and very hard before you spend the time and money. Obviously it makes a difference which law school you're thinking of, and where you want to try to work (big firm, in-house, nonprofit, etc.).

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I've just closed an almost 30 year old business (entertainment marketing) and am about to open an Art Gallery. Maybe not the wisest decision but I'm sure getting rid of the corporate crap will be soooo freeing.

You might want to rephrase that - in light of who you're talking about. lol
