Not the first time it's happened and it sure won't be the last. When are people gonna learn that young children need constant supervision and care.
Tragic. | |

Agreed very tragic-how can people just forget about their kids? Some folks don't need to be parents

Right. It's frightening how many unfit parents I see whenever I go to town. Mothers and fathers who have barely left school screaming and shouting at their children and treating them like some sort of commodity rather than a human being. It's no wonder that there are so many children in care/foster homes.

Folks do this to their kids all the time. They also do that to their pets as well.

There is no excuse for this and I feel for the family, however this is a true sign of the times. People are so stressed out with thier jobs, working long hours, doing whatever they can to keep the job they have, unfortunately this is where this guys priority was that day. Companies are operating with less staff and working these folks to death, telling you to be happy that you have a job.
R.I.P little one.
I can't imagine what the dad is feeling right now.

From what LITTLE the story told us, it seems that the dad "forgot" about the kid.
Sorry, but as much as I grieve for the child and the mother/siblings...this man is a shit-stained excuse for a father. The baby was 7 months old. He needed to be fed, changed, and I'm SURE he cried alot. I don't believe for one minute that he lost track of time or anything - he probably left him sleeping in the car seat so he wouldn't have to deal with crying.

But some parents are very much not about being nurturing at all.
They leave all the nurturing to the other parent and they never really pay attention to the cries and needs of the baby, its like they can't be bothered! It is usually a parent like this that will easily forget a kid in the car and give the child as much consideration as they would their morning cup of coffee.
I've seen that type of parent leave the baby in the carseat placed on a curve on the street while the parent absent-mindedly drove off.
This is the same type of parent that will sleep through a baby's cry and leave a baby's diaper untouched until the other parent attends to the baby. They do not care if the baby gets a rash.
Simply put, not all adults should have a baby. I feel sorry for some babies I know have an un-nurturing parent. Some people are not wired to care about a little one more than themself.

EXACTLY.
Everyone should be aware of their limitations.
Leave the breeding to people who actually WANT the crying/shitting/puking bundles of "joy".

The "changing times" don't change the fact that he's a neglectful parent.
