I haven't seen a whole episode either just bits & pieces.
That's a shame though. Prince does do some nice "vocal gymnastics/ showy oriented stuff" himself. I think I even heard someone do MJ once. | |

How COLD is it that they went in for a closeup when that girl was in tears???   Simon only told her he pictured her singing on a cruise ship THAT SINKS!!  Whoever directs American Idol must be Simon's brother!!  I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it | |

I followed it last season and have not missed a show this season. No Prince song yet, maybe go to the web site and chat with the contestants, maybe someone will do one of Prince's songs.

But ya know that I think his comment to her was brutal. He has toned down this season. They should use the negative criticism and turn it into a positive (room for improvement).

we are sooo lucky here in Britain that we have moved on to to popstars the rivals which is the same format as american idol but they put together a boy band and a girl band At the end of the search the boy band did a version of 1999 which was actually quite good !!! | |

I think everyone who tries to do a Prince song, ruins it. David from Idols told he was a big Prince fan, so is that other guy, Wayne, who attended a concert in rotterdam and got on stage to sing with Prince...the bastard! --------------------------------------------------
