Let's have the truth......

Am I the only one in the org from ghetto? I just watched Mennace II Society the other day and I was thinking, man I can relate... I don't live in the ghetto now,I live in the boring suburbs area (Auburn Hills bored) I go every once and a while cuz some of my family is still there, but man those where the good ol' days.

Who else is found of "The Hood" (Seriously)
And yes there's white people in "The hood" too lol

and oh yeah Emenim is really not from Detroit y'all, he's from the outskirts of Detroit

Listen I mean that's why I may come off as a racist sometimes, I mean I don't hate white people, but it was like where I was from, the cops always seem to pick on black people, especailly if you where driving a nice car, they would stop you for no reason at all. And Most of the girls I went to high school with where already pregnant by the time they graduated and that was if they graduated. A from a man's point of view, you had very little options cuz you where either gonna end up dead or in jail. Alot of friends of mines died before they turned 21 yrs old and I guy I used to date a guy who's in prison with a life sentence (my first and only real love ) for attempted murder of a cop sad I still write him letters and I get to see him next month yay!
though, we're not seeing each other anymore,

I knew so many dirty cops who deliberty tried to set people up, just because they had something against them personally, it was like I had to grow up faster then most kids growing up in the ghetto but it don't matter how many hardship I might've seen I will never regret growing up in the ghetto and experiencing some of the things I have.

And I know this may sound corny in all, but Prince music really did take me away from that reality whenever it got 2 hard 2 deal with, his music made me feel as if I had chance... nod So I got into music which kept me out of trouble and kept me from having a child before I was old enough to take care of myself

O.K. Lisa, so I didn't grow up in the ghetto but poor as fuck "on the outskirts" of Detroit. Most of the people I went to high school with were pregnant before high school was over.

While I wasn't harrassed by cops, I did grow up on the street with drugs and dealing them. At anytime I could have gone to jail for a long time or been killed by gangs. I was on my own at 15 and had little choice. I left the area, put myself through school and have gotten ahead by working my ass off and doing the right thing.

Music helped my mind escape as well but I was never raised to see a person based on color. My experiences should have given me an attitude but people are people. When you are a corrupt asshole, it doesn't matter what color you are. Black and white, I've know too many Detroit cops that were all on the fucking take, don't get me started on the various mayors of Detroit.

i grew up in a ghetto and i don't miss it at all! I was lucky enough to move out when i was about 14 years old, maybe 15, and i never looked back. I was treated differently from the kids at school because most of them were from much more affluent neighborhoods...hell, i was even treated poorly by the faculty and i was a top student! I am very glad, however, for the experience because it taught me that you can better yourself and i knew from a very early age not to judge someone based on their material wealth, color, or home life. That's something that bothers me about all these so called "hood" movies...they are such ridiclous stereotypes and not really true to life at all...well, except for the crime and drug aspect!

No. But I don't suppose I'd be terribly surprised at this point. He says he's being eclectic. I told him there is a difference between being eclectic and listening to shitty music. confused

I think that is just wishful thinking, althom. If he were gay, you could carry out what you said you'd like to do to him in those orgnotes you sent me.

I think you need to wipe these ideas out of your silly head, Alli. biggrin
