If Chauncy not gotten injured, they would have had a better chance. I don't see them winning with just, Paul and Blake...

The Clippers are struggling for real without him. I forgot Chauncy was in the Clippers.

Yep! Remember, he was waived by the Knicks and then went to the Clippers. He was hurt soon after.

What a wild fourth quarter in the Clipper-Grizzlies game! In my 40 years of following the NBA, I've never seen a comeback like that. Amazing win by the Clippers.

Western Conference Playoffs, 1st Round

Game 1

Los Angeles Clippers 99 Memphis Grizzlies 98

The Clippers rally from a 27 point deficit late in the third quarter to come away with one of the most exciting victories in NBA playoff history. eek omg omfg shocked woot! excited The incredible comeback was led by the Clippers bench, and the Grizzlies, who looked like they coun't miss any shots during the first three quarters of the game, suddenly went ice cold, making only one of 13 shots and turning the ball over four times.

Stick a fork in the Knicks, they are done. They lost their best on-ball defender, no point guard to break down the defense, Chandler's sick as a dog, and our two stars aren't in the same class as Miami's.

Eleven straight years without a playoff win.

I'm hoping for Chicago or Miami to win the championships.

I would like Lebron and Bosh to have a ring shrug

Thoughts...

Spurs looked VERY solid and didn't even play as hard as they can if they need to. Jazz are out fast.

CRAZY Clippers/Grizzlies game. I ALMOST switched it off - glad I didn't. I've never seen a comeback like that in the playoffs, either. I give the Clippers full credit for continuing to play hard, but if the Grizzlies had just gone inside a couple times, or run a pick and roll with Gasol, they would have won that game. Inexperience and adrenaline got the better of them.

Lakers looked good against the Nuggets and Kobe had a crap game. Nuggets are built for the regular season. They don't have a dominant player who can take over when things are tough.

Dallas/OKC was the most boring game in the West to me. I just wasn't feelin' it. Kind of how Dallas has looked all season.

Too bad about Rose, still interested in seaing how far the Bulls can go. They played well without him this season, but they fall into the same situation of not having the close, the guy who will get the call even if he maybe didn't deserve it. I think they'll get by the 76ers, don't see them advancing beyond the second round.

Rondo is a punk ass bitch! All the rest of the Celtics are old ass whining and complaining punk ass bitches. I hope they lose four straight. And Rondo SHOULD HAVE been suspended for at least two games, based on the suspension he got for throwing the ball at the ref earlier this season.

Pacers/Magic was one of the most boring playoff games in recent memory. It's cool the Magic won a game and took homecourt away. I'd like to see them win a couple series without shit talkin' Dwight Howard around. Won't make any difference, though. He's the star - Van Gundy is gone after this season.

I hope the Knicks can keep the series competitive and interesting. It would be great if they could win a game or two to put some wear and tear on Miami.

I still think the Bulls will get past the Sixers, but it may be in five or six games. I still think they have a shot to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals, but whether it's the Celtics or Atlanta, they will have to work really hard to get there, and the next round is likely to go six or seven games. Plus, unlike the regular season where there was little time for breaks and teams were moving on to the next opponent in a flash, the teams in the playoffs have a lot of time to scout teams, practice, and make strategic adjustments from game to game. I'm sure Doug Collins is already making plans to go at Carlos Boozer, as he has a tendency to get into foul trouble early and often, and he's also a little soft in the paint. confused It's going to be up to Luol Deng and Rip Hamilton to create some offense down the stretch. At any rate, if the Bulls do get to the Eastern Conference Finals, I don't expect them to get past Miami; in fact, it will be a small miracle if they don't get swept.

^^ I think the extra days off to rest and gameplan are actually going to hurt the Bulls. Without Rose their to draw coverages and take over games the other teams will really be able to focus in on taking away the weapons Chicago has left.

Come on Knicks! You better take at least ONE game in NYC.

Eastern Conference Playoffs, 1st Round

Game 2

New York Knicks 94 Miami Heat 104

The Knicks play a more spirited game than their first effort, with Carmelo Anthony playing a monster game. but the Heat get by on the balanced scoring of their big 3, with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh each scoring above the 20 point mark while LeBron James added 19 points to secure the victory.

Miami leads series 2-0.

That a medic team was called to the Knicks locker room after the game to tend to a laceration on his hand. Supposedly said laceration was caused by him punching something in frustation in the locker room after the game. confused

This is all hearsay for now. They're going to follow up on it at halftime of the Dallas/OKC game.

If it's true I can't be mad at him. He lost his brother earlier this year so his frustration may be coming from that also.

Nah. Unacceptable. Dude signed a hundred million dollar contract to play basketball, not to punch stuff. I feel for his personal loss - but you still have to be a professional at work. I'm not gonna get in a bunch about it until we actually know what happened. But if he is unable to play that's some childish nonsense. He would be letting down his team, his city, his fans and his league.

They still can't report the extent of the injury. Sounds like he may have punched a fire extinguisher, or the glass on the cover. They think he had stitches. Tyson Chandler said he thinks "he'll be out".

True. But, I'm not sure the more money a person makes the less affected they are by personal problems. Maybe that's how it works, I'm just not sure. Either way he'll have to answer to his teammates

No, no. I agree with you. It doesn't work that way at all. Everybody has stress and drama and all that. But when you are given a GUARANTEED hundred million dollar contract to PLAY BASKETBALL (it ain't like he's a doctor, or a soldier or some shit where people's lives are at stake) you have certain responsibilities that you are held to. If you don't meet those responsibilities, people are gonna get on you about it, at least (Charles Barkley already started). I'm not sure the team could fine him, but if he can't play I bet you they look into it. Worst case scenario, they trade him because they have Carmelo Anthony (that won't happen, though).

Eastern Conference Playoffs, 1st Round

Game 2

Orlando Magic 78 Indiana Pacers 93

The Pacers use a small lineup to surge past the Orlando Magic. After Roy Hibbert struggled against the Magic's Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who is playing the center position in place of injured Dwight Howard, the Pacers went small in the second half, pulling Hibbert out of the lineup and playing Tyler Hansbrough at center while going with a smaller, quicker lineup of David West, Leandro Barbosa, George Hill and Danny Granger. This allowed the Pacers to pull away for the victory.

Series tied at 1-1.

See, this is what I'm talking ...Stoudemire.

On the front page of Yahoo! the headline reads, "NBA player hurth throwing tantrum".

That mess gets read by people who don't know anything about Amar'e, the Knicks, basketball, etc., who immediately get to assume things like, "just another, immature, spoiled pro athlete".

Dude just needed to control himself and channel his frustrations on to the court.

I do sincerely hope he's not badly hurt, though.

Western Conference Playoffs, 1st Round

Game 2

Dallas Mavericks 99 Oklahoma City Thunder 102

The tandem of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant comine for 53 of the Thunder's 102 points to hold off the feisty Mavs, who almost got into some serious scuffles on the court during the game.

Oklahoma City leads series 2-0.

Eastern Conference Playoffs, 1st Round

Game 2

Boston Celtics 87 Atlanta Hawks 80

The Celtics rally from an 11 point deficit on the shooting of Paul Pierce, who scored 36 points in the game. He needed to, because the Celtics were short-handed with Ray Allen, who sat out with an ankle injury, and Rajon Rondo, who was serving a one game suspension for bumping a referee in game 1 of the series.

Series tied at 1-1.
