Why get angry?

Next time just throw something heavy at his/her direction and be done with it.

People that make fun of you do so because deep down they are jealous of something you have.

Once you realize that, they can never bother you again.

This.

Also, the best thing to do is go back to the early 70s (when all girls had Marcia Brady hair - long, straight and parted in the middle) and get your hair cut super short. That way, once the boys in your 8th-grade class tire of calling you "Butch," you can wear your hair any way you like for the rest of your life without anyone uttering a peep.

I've worn my hair short for most of my life. I consider myself lucky to have the right bone structure and personality to pull it off. As one of my friends and I are fond of saying, since we look amazing in short hair, we have a duty to wear it for all the women who can't - or are too chicken to try it.

By the way, this is approximately the sort of haircut I had when I was 13 - and I've worn it this short at various times since...

I had short hair for a few years, and now it's long again, and I've noticed the attitude towards me changing too from people. A lot liked the short chic look, but some went out of their way to say those who said they liked it are liars, or would politely ask what made me decide to cut it or that they made it too short. At one point, it looked like janet's hair in the Rock With U video though not as long in the front and looked awesome when I straightened it, then I switched to a bob before Beiber came along lol I can't relate to keeping hair the same all the time, though right now I really like what I've done with it and will keep it for a long time.

Anyways I don't think everyone can pull off short hair, and you probably can if that's you in your pic, and they're just jealous. I also think it made me look older or at least my age for a bit. One time I was with a guy and he started calling me a dyke when he was mad at me, it was really stupid although he had no idea about my bisexuality either (I hadn't slept with anyone else so said nothing, and he did not deserve to know the real me with how he was acting and treating me)

I realized (not too long ago in fact) that some of the most critical & obnoxiously opinionated individuals are masking flaws and insecurities within themselves...sometimes to the point of oblivion.

You not only get to decide how to wear your hair, you're the only one who gets to decide how you feel about yourself. Don't let others' opinions gain an oversized sense of importance - even those close to you.

Nobody can make you feel bad about yourself without your permission. I know it's hard when it seems like everyone's against you, but you need to repeat this as necessary.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
