: lol:
I lol about it, but it really shows how many hurt and mentally crushed souls are out there. You really see into people's lives more than u want to see. You basically see the public passing by. I see tons of obese people But what caused them to be obese? Alot of people with mental and health issues. The staff alone has alot of issues. I work with a lot of young mothers many who continue to make bad choices. A lot of promiscuious kids, many who have suffered from sexual abuse. I have basically become a cahier/ customer service rep/ therapist. I've even had a customer find me on FB and message me about problems between him and his babymama. I really have to ground myself mentally before I go in there. You learn about patience and seeing beyond judgement.
But on another note, I had this really and I mean REALLY obese man come through my line in an electric scooter the other day. I try to be kind and nice to everybody. But the way his stomach fat was hanging from his too tight food stained shirt combined with the way he smelled (like old food mixed with skin cheese in between fat creases) made me feel sooooo disturbed that I became nervous trying to get him out of my line fast. I was sooo nervous that I ended up dropping his credit card inside the register. Which meant that we had to unscrew and take apart the register to get it out. Which meant he had to sick around longer...ugh. I try to learn a lesson from everything. That's the most I can get out of working there while I waste my degree. Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0

God, can you imagine having your picture taken without your knowledge, and having it appear on youtube?
Anyways, I look at Walmart like I look at the DMV. The fact that you can always expect to see such fucked up people each time you go, speaks more about America as a whole than it does about bargain shoppers.

I have to have set times to go into Walmart....either in the wee hours of the morning or late evening. I just can't handle day hours. One time I nearly lost my mind and almost left my basket full of stuff in the middle of the store to walk out. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Most of the time when I'm in Walmart I see someone who would be PERFECT for the "people of walmart" website and I alwys think, 'DAMN! Why didn't I bring my camera?!" (cause my old ass cell doesn't take pics) -- anyway, truthfully, I wouldn't put someone out there like that but it is interesting what you see at Walmart....

Also, in all seriousness, Walmart WILL save you money. I used to boycott Walmart as I felt it was taking from the small mom and pop businesses but times are tough and why am I gonna pay 12 dollars for a hammer from the local hardware store when I can get one for 3 dollars from Walmart?

I hear ya.....I have a love/hate relationship with walmart. They have everything and it is very cheap but...the quality is cheap too so you get what you pay for I guess. strangely enough though...for a store that has so much...they also have very little in terms of varieties to choose from. They have one or 2 brands of most things and that's it, makes me crazy sometimes....I try to avoid Walmart as much as I can and find myself aggrivated when I have to go there. "not a fan" yeah...ok

I don't hate Walmart, but I selectively shopped there.
For example, toilet paper, etc. I would get there. But I got my veggies and fruits at a local farmer's market--it was actually competitive or cheaper.
I read a book that showed how Walmart has bankrupted companies it did business with, and I made a vow to minimize my patronage there.
I will say this though---they have a nearly no-hassle customer service/return policy. They were curteous and quick when I had to use them.

No hassle return policy is right! You can take back anything at anytime and they will refund your money. I had a friend a long time ago (she was scandalous) and whenever an appliance went kaput she would just take it to walmart and exchange it for a new one- even if she didn't buy it at walmart! and they ALWAYS exchanged for her!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
ha! Way back, even if you didn't have a receipt you could get cash back for returned items...nowadays you can exchange without a receipt but if you want cash back you need one. anyway, I knew people who would steal stuff from wal-mart and then return it for cash! "not a fan" yeah...ok

I work customer service and people stretch the "no hassle" policy to the limit. Stank drawers, worn panties, tore up shoes, backpacks stretched to the limit. Food on two different receipts unopened claiming it was "stale" (only the cookies were opened with a good date but want to claim the unopened chips and peanut butter were stale too. They had a good date mind u. How can u know if u didn't open it?). We're like the pawn shop, people find stuff in their house to return to get some quick cash. People even steal stuff in the store and bring it up to customer service to return. Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0

I buy chocolate, allergy tablets and Lego there I did once buy a little cabin bag there years ago and it's still good. Maybe it's the stores I go to that aren't the notorious ones, but I've never seen any weirdos there (yet!!) a whore in sheep's clothing

Oh and don't make fun but a few years ago when they had their "Miley Cyrus" clothing line- a woman in my office came in all the time in these form fitting pants and cute tops and every time I asked her where she got it she said, "Miley Cyrus line at Wal-mart" and I went out and bought almost all of it. Super cheap and fits great- perfect for the weekends when I'm kicking around the house

I wont shop at Walmart. I believe in paying a fair wage and fair insurance coverage to employees something Walmart does not do. In washington State the employer with the most people who are on welfare (state govt handouts) is Walmart. Meaning they don't pay them enough so we as tax payers pay their (some) employees benefits and food stamps for them through govt handouts (welfare.) So, not only does Walmart closed down mom and pop stores, they cost the public money. Why is it the most profitable retailer wont pay their employees a living wage and give them great insurance coverage???? Perhaps greed?? And they can't say it cant be done. Because a smaller company called Costco does pay a living wage with great insurance coverage for their employees. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

I must go to some of the world's most normal Walmarts. Granted, I don't go to them very often, but I've never seen stuff like what's in these videos. Just regular people doing some shopping.

You must not live in the South then

Nope. But I WAS actually wondering if that had something to do with it when I posted my last comment. The Wal-Mart I frequent most is right near the Safeway and Home Depot I shop at, too. It's just a regular part of the places to shop in the area.
