Remember Craig and Smokey from the hilarious “Friday” series?
Well it’s been a few years since Ice Cube (O’shea Jackson) and Chris Tucker took on the role of the popular bff’s but now it’s being reported that the two, along with the rest of the cast from the original “Friday” movie will be reprising their roles in a 4th sequel.

Ice Cube revealed late last year that he was in talks with Tucker to appear in the fourth and final sequel for Friday.
Cube plans to write produce and star in another installment of the film, which he’s titled ‘LAST Friday’ and has been in talks with Tucker to reprise the role of Smokey.
Tucker was originally hesitant about returning in the film, and once cited his religion as a contributing factor in his decision NOT to do previous sequels. His character “Smokey” was all about pot smoking, but judging from the photo above, it’s looking like he may be on board to return.
“I’m still writing [the screenplay]. I’m still in the process, I’m deep into it…[the title is] Last Friday,” he noted.
“I want [Chris Tucker] to be in it. He’s given us every indication that he’s gonna be in it. Until he shows up on set, you never know. That’s really how it goes.” (source)
Friday 4 is on and poppin…. Daaaaayum! Smokey and Craig are together again?!?
Since the screenplay is incomplete there’s no word on the storyline but with the original cast consisting of Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, Tiny Lister, Nia Long, John Witherspoon, Anna Maria Horsford and Regina King, it can’t go too wrong.
Nothing will ever be as good as the original but I’m glad there will finally be a reunion of sorts. I wonder if Smokey will be all grown up and clean and sober… or if Craig has a wife, kids and a “good job” at the post office.
