Do you make up scenarios about people in your head?

By how people treat you or talk to you, do you ever make up scenarios in your head or know why they are acting like that around you? It could be paranoia, or just for amusement to cope with the stress. Like if people ask you too many questions, you analyze their expressions and conclude that they wanted something you have or they are trying to set you up, or pinpoint your weakness, and though a part of you feels cautious, another part of you is just so amused and thinking they need lives.

I made up stories about people all the time. Not so much as to why they behave the way the do, but more about strangers based on the way they look. For example, there is a roller dancing rink where I go watch the skaters a lot in the summer. There are quite a few regulars and I've created nicknames and stories for most of them based on their outfits and skating styles. I almost always have "pet names" (not always flattering) for people I work with or for, too - based on their behavior, usually.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

ALL THE TIME!
I look at the world like an ongoing series of SNL skits. neutral

For example, our awesome across the hall studio art-neighbor is from Korea and everytime Korean folk go in there and they speak in their native language I can hear them but cannot understand, so I've created this scenario with Mary that she is the Godmother of DC area Korean mob and the "art thing" is just a front for that. Mary and I just narrate to each other what biz or deals are going down in there or when she's on the phone.

I regularly imagine they don't exist. Which is pretty much the truth for me, anyway.

Yeah it's like a gut feeling that doesn't go away some of the time isn't it?
