It's a hightenned dream state, where you often experience the dream in more vivid (after incredibly vivid detail), but in which you are often aware that you are dreaming and therefore able to control all aspects of your dream....or you're at least semi-aware, and in more control of your dream.

People have been practiciing lucid dreaming to lose weight---for example, people will often dream of being at a feaste and pigging out on so many things they love in their dreams, that they are less hungry during their waking lives.

I've had a lucid dream ONCE, and it was....beautiful. I woke up stunned at how vivid the dream was, but I transistioned from the lucid dream, to a hazy dream, to waking up. neutral

thumbs up!

That sounds cool.

I can remember only ONCE where I was dreaming and I knew that it was a dream.

If this is something that you can "control" then I'm def gonna look into it. nod

A good way to start is to give yourself suggestions as you fall asleep. If you don't always remember your drems, just keep telling yourself you'll remember as you fall asleep.

Then tell yourself you'll become aware you're dreaming.

That way can get confusing too, though. I have dreams within dreams within dreams sometimes. Like, I'll be aware I'm dreaming and maybe don't like what I'm dreaming about so I'll wake myself up - but then I'm still dreaming.

It's all pretty flipping fantactic, though. Lucid dreaming rocks.

shake I usually wake up with a soaken wet back when I have nightmares. I remember my last one vividly...I was getting ready to go somewhere and when I got outside, I noticed all my car doors were outside and folks were standing outside pointing to my car. As I walk closer I noticed that my car has 4 dead bodies with gun shot wounds to the head. disbelief I didn't do it, but the police were on their way and about to arrest me for the crime!!!!!

Another nightmare I have on a sporatically recurring basis is that I wake up and my house is full of spider webs and spiders crawling EVERYWHERE!!!! omfg And I'm panicking to the point of having a panic attack because I'm afraid of those suckers and hate them with a passion.

I always had very vivid dreams my entire life. Many dreams were so crazy I would wake up still feeling like I was in a dream state afraid and in panic mode.

Many dreams now I have learned to interpret as well, prophecy.

Every single time I dream of a person marrying in white they become terminally ill or they die. It never fails, I always have dreams a week before I hear the dreaded news.

One day I will dream of my own wedding and know my own end is near. I always jump awake when I begin to dream wedding dreams.... the more flowers and ribbons and beautiful wedding, the more horrible the death. I had many wedding dreams.

When I dream of cats is when I have problems I am avoiding... the bigger the cat, the bigger the problem.

The dreams of deaths or dying are when babies are being born weirdly enough.... and the damned fish-sea dreams... yup, someones preggers!!!

Its so weird how people can touch our lives that we subconsciously dream of them even if we haven't a clue to what major change is happening in their lives. This is why I agree in a deeper and spiritual connection beyond the physical that mere human understanding can not explain.

Some call it a gift, I wish I didn't dream this way... it is a hard gift to understand and accept. I don't even talk about it much because most people just think I'm full of doody

At least I have learned to conquer my nightmares in my dreams, I do battle in all my nightmares and face any fears head on... except now weddings are a new source of fear in my dream state and I hate those dreams. Funny how a beautiful dream can be seen in a dreadful way.

shrug Oh well....

About the original question... I am a Christian and believe in God, Jesus, and demons... its a part of my faith that I hold close to me.

To me the spiritual world is real even if it can't be seen... it can still be felt.

I don't go to other people for interpretations of my dreams now, but I try to understand my own dreams as my own spirit trying to connect to me and remind me or tell me something. It is a personal journey in understanding yourself IMHO.

The revelations you receive from your dreams are all your own, I chose to further my understanding through biblical teaching and help from my elders in my family line.

Dreams are a personal thing and I will not seek out mediums/prophets who do not line themselves up with God to simply avoid confusion and mis-interpretation... because differnt things mean different stuff to different people especially from different cultures.

When you dream recurring dreams be mindful of what goes on in your life when you are awake and your own connections will come. Those connections are the funny coincidences that keep recurring and you can't ignore anymore.

That said, I still dream many dreams I can't even begin to make a connection to my daily life, the connection I made with weddings and deaths were a hard one to ignore and kinda blatant. No one else I know dreams of weddings equating to death as I do. So recurring dreams are messages from the spiritual.. to help you or inform you.

Well.... that's my best answer I guess. lol

I don't often remember my dreams, but when I do, I follow them. For example, my stage name came to me in a dream and I've been very successful under that name. I've had songs come to me in dreams, sometimes melodies and sometimes lyrics. It was because of a dream that I became vegetarian, one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. So many things. Dreams are important. Coincidentally, as I'm writing this, a song called "Dreams Don't Turn To Dust" by Owl City started playing on my music player lol

Okay here was my crazy dream last night:

I woke up to look out the window and find some commotion outside. Apparently a tornado had hit and there was a lot of degree in the street. I run downstairs to find 4 big see through holes in the front of my house as if a small cannon had been shot directly at my home. I go outside and while most of my neighbors are looking for missing items in their home or cleaning up, I find one of my neighbors and two of his friends sitting in my car! Not only that, my car was fugged up. It could had easily been passed off as damage from the tornado, but why were they sitting in my car? Come to find out they had been joy riding and completely destroyed my car. They were pleading with me to not call the police. I ran into the house to get the phone and that's when....my alarm clock started ringing and woke me up. eek confused

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Well see that's the thing, I can't say that I have any chaos going on with me right now. With the exception of my car stressing me out with the check engine light coming on when it gets good and ready after I get it checked out and nothing is found to be wrong rolleyes, there's really not much going on with me. shrug And no I don't trust my neighbors at all. lol

Never heard of the teeth falling out...

but isn't it weird how things in dreams... dreamt by different people... can have the same meaning? hmmm

Its like dreams have their own language.

And Missfee's latest dream is fascinating... its like she was helpless but was about to set things straight until she was pulled from her dream.

So there you GO...your neighbors and your car...BINGO. thumbs up!

BTW - if you get alot of unwarranted "check engine" lights...maybe your gas cap is loose or needs to be replaced. It happens to me all the time when I put gas in the car and don't tighten the cap properly. Usually I'll re-tighten it and after a few miles of driving, the light goes away. I've gone through 3 gas caps already...I don't know why they keep breaking on me.

Not saying that's your problem, but it's worth keeping in mind.

Lately I have been dreaming about the same thing: I'm in a big house, it's dirty, I have to vacuum, clean, but can never get it started, but I'm worried, because somebody in my family is coming over.lol

I also dream about Prince. He will be doing a gig and I'm in this big place, looking for where the show is. Or, I'm at an auditorium, waiting for the gig to begin.

Ok.... I am angry because I ate some ribs I made and passed out after... I was in a good sleep!

My dream during my nap went like this...

I am at a large apartment (mine but it was HUGE, large expansive rooms, but sorta empty) so my oldest son's dad (Babydaddy - Jackson) walks in and stops at a mirror to flex him arms and looks at me and tells me he needs me to help him transpose the image of his ugly face from the metal templates he has onto his arms...

sorta like the thing you use to press coins? Yeah, so I get the good idea to glue the metal template onto a towel and wet the towel and snap it on his arms. Its hurting him but he braces himself with every snap because he wants his face welts all the way down his arms because he loves the image of his face so much.So I go to work on him like a slave that stole sumthing, everyhit was a loud clap and he would fall forward groaning and yelping in pain.

Me, I am just enjoying snapping the towel and causing him to fall forward in pain with every hit, and when I say "Are you OK Jackson?" He answers " Ooophfm... uh... yeah....oww." and I'm like "OK!! Here's another one!" So then he explains its my turn, to transpose his ugly face on my back and I was like OK, but I then got the good idea to jump in the shower and in the warm water press the template up against my back in the shower and his ugly football head shape was like a temporary tattoo (blue n white and washable) on my back. In the shower I peeked from behind the heavy white curtain and said... "I just did mine! No, thanks... see I got your face on my back now! " I remember him giving me a nasty sneer because he wanted payback.

Then my kids wakes me up from my nap to make make them some chocolate pudding because they were ready for dessert.

I hate it when I eat ribs... I get so tired, the dream gave me the giggles though.

I had freaky as hell dreams early this morning... Involved my daughter and grandson.. Her obstetrician being my chiropractor and random drunk people coming in the room,,.. Getting stuck in a MASSIVE snow storm that had like 20 foot drifts...Simon Le Bon, his wife and his 3 young children (yes I know this isnt what he has) having dinner after I lost them.. I was the person who took care of the le Bons, but not a nanny, more like a manager... I lost my daughter in the airport which turned into a docotrs office and I was pissed because she walked away from me LIKE SHE DOES IN A STORE and then I cant find her mad...and my back having a degenrative bone disease that could snap at any minute... way more detailed but those are the points that come to me....WTF?? lol

I lost my daughter in the airport which turned into a docotrs office and I was pissed because she walked away from me LIKE SHE DOES IN A STORE and then I cant find her mad...and my back having a degenrative bone disease that could snap at any minute... way more detailed but those are the points that come to me....WTF?? lol
