I wonder...do you love it as much as I do?

I'm talking about sleep.

I know I don't get enough of it, and I have real trouble falling asleep...but oh man, there is not much better than being tired, crawling into bed and quickly drifting off to LaLaLand.

Oh my god, it's the best feeling ever.

I mean, ever.

But it's sort of like flying for me. I fucking hate the long lines, being treated like cattle (I mean serious, $1,500 bucks to be treated like cattle?) the cold ass air on the plane, the dry air....the pretzles ill....

....but lawd, do I love taking off and landing cloud9

That's sleep to me....I hate to oversleep...I hate the groggy feeling in the mornings when you don't want to roll out of bed....

...but my goodness do I love plopping down on bed, especially after a hot shower, on clean sheets and just drifting off....it's like crack.

I guess so. I hate wasting time on sleep, but I appreciate a good nights sleep.

The best bit is laying in bed before falling asleep, just relaxing. And I hate getting out of the bed in the mornings.

I wish I could sleep and enjoy it. Sleeping is not really my favorite activity. It´s difficult for me to fall asleep even though I know exactly what to do for a good night´s sleep. It takes a lot to make me feel tired, most of the time I´m overenergetic to the point of overexhaustion. I know I should sleep more. It just feels like a big waste of time to me. I know it´s not, and I know about the health benefits but I just can´t sleep well.

I probably love it more than you do! During the week I don't get it as much as I should, but on the weekends when I can sleep in and get out of bed feeling 100% rested; hard to beat that feeling.

I love, love, love a good sleep.

And a sleep that starts with being buzzed on oral progesterone is just about the best thing ever.

I love sleep!

Love love love it!

And I'm pretty damn good at it. I love sleeping at night, I love sleeping in, in the morning, I love lazy afternoons on the couch that turn into naps you didn't even plan on.

cloud9

And let me tell you, hell hath no fury like me, when someone is keeping me awake. It's probably the worst thing anyone could possibly do to me - disturb my sleep.

Oh - and I generally get enough sleep. 7-9 hours a night. But I also have a hard time sleeping in once I'm on a regular pattern. Sleeping past 7 on a weekend is "sleeping in" for me.

That's how I can tell I'm depressed - when I can stay in bed and just keep falling back asleep. And when that happens, I can do that for literally days, staying awake for only a few hours at a time. Moving from bed to couch to bed, etc.

I'm a night person so I naturally want to stay up 'til 1 or 2am and then sleep 'til 10 or 11am.

But I need to be up a 5:30am to get to work on time...which of course, rarely happens.

Love sleeping with the ones I love, but usually ONLY if the bed is BIG. Otherwise, sleep is far to enjoyable for me to enjoy it with anyone other than myself. Unfortunately, I have realised that people just love the idea of sleeping with me, but the feeling is rare the other way around. In other words, I have had to literally cordon off my bedroom suite so that I can do one of the things I seriously LOVE ... sleep (especially if there are thunder storms outside). I am completely with you about mornings Erin. Its one of the nicest times to be snuggled up in bed.

love,
Spirit

Emoticon ...

sometimes (about once every 3 months,) i have a sleeping phase live-out. it's like where i'll go about 3 to 5 days just to feel totally unfettered. i usually go horizontal for up to 10-12hrs per 24hrs.

during my "sleep phase live out," i appreciate my sleep the most. it's like i'm in a nice dark royal blue pillowy moderately warm room, and i'm feeling totally blissed-out in a most good way.

then after the phase i'm back to my normal 5-7hrs per night.

my friend says when i do this i'm actually "re-charging" my batteries.

to answer the question: yes, during my sleeping phase thing, "i luv my sleep."

Sleep is overrated. I've NEVER slept long hours. Unless I was detoxing from opiates. The second I wake up, I'm outta bed and doing shit....my brain just wont ever let me slumber around. Typically, I get about 4-5k hours of sleep a night. And about one 1hr. afternoon nap a month.
