That dagnabbit Flash Player Maybe it's just me but I noticed after I upgraded my Flash Player, some videos started to act all funny getting all chopped up - thankfully I got apps to get the video. But as for streaming and all of that, it's impossible now without it being choppy and/or slow or even fast if you scroll down. And the folks on Flash act like it's something wrong with people's computers - riiiiight.
I wanted to stay quiet on this for a minute but I had to post this. It's frustrating trying to watch a video and part of the video suddenly wanna stay out of sync for a good period. I definitely think the folks at Adobe are screwing up. Folks who upgraded to another Flash version had problems with a green screen on top of their videos so I guess a lot of folks are seeing some issues with Flash.
Maybe because my own computer decides it could only go up to 11.1 that that's why it's choppy. I want to uninstall it and reinstall an older version but I'm afraid of what might happen if I do it so I wanna be cautious. I could just let it all go and not worry about it.
P.S., I wonder if the Flash I upgraded to is in beta format because beta is slow and choppy as fuck.
Update: It does better with videos of shorter length though. [Edited 4/15/12 0:23am]

How old is your computer.
Flash is extremely CPU intensive (your CPU is forced to do the rendering--not your video card), and older PCs have harder times with it. Also, the choppiness could come from overheating.
Flash is doomed anyway for video playback. I give it 5 years at the very most. It'll still (maybe) be around for online gaming, but that's debatable at this point. Even Adobe, the maker, is moving away from it now, and I expect future players to be half-baked.

It's about 4 years old now. Well from when my brother gave me the computer. But I don't know if that's a good excuse. I had an old laptop that I had for nine years and it didn't have problems. I'm thinking it's more Adobe's problem than mine's. I honestly believe that. But yeah it may be overheating, who knows?

I use linux and the Chromium browser is packaged with an older version. At work, however, I use Chrome, and it has the absolute newest Flash player and since version .228 (Chrome is on .229 which I think is a version specific to Chrome) Flash playback has been crappy.
So...
I downloaded Firefox, uninstalled Adobe Flash, installed an older version of Flash. No more skipping!

lol so uninstallation was that simple huh? I may try that...one of these days. But then again you got Linux but I guess it works for Windows too.

Oops, forgot to mention that my work PC is Windows Vista with Chrome. In vista and win7, you go to the control panel - programs to uninstall Flash. Adobe has a specific flash uninstaller if you are having issues getting it removed. Then you probably have to google hunt for the old version of flash on Adobe's site. I should also reclarify that Chrome and Chromium have flash built into the program. There's a way to disable the internal plugin so it uses the version that's installed to windows. Warning though, flash is updated for feature and security reasons. Using old software may make your PC vulnerable to exploitation. [Edited 4/15/12 12:01pm] -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Yeah I figured that. That's why I often think I probably need to wait for the next update.

Adobe just updated the installed version to 11,2,202,233 and it still has the playback problems (not as bad) for me in Chrome and Firefox, but not IE9. Weird.
Chrome's internal version is still 11,2,202,229 but I disabled the internal plugin and used the installed and newer version by accessing chrome://plugins
So the updated and installed version is nowhere as bad, but it still has some drop-outs here and there. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

That's what I got now: 11.2.202.233 and I do think the playback problems are Adobe's own. I kinda notice some Adobe updates, sometimes the flash is either slow or jumpy. In this case, it's both (at times). Sometimes it does play at the normal sync. Adobe is clueless about the bugs it gets from updates and make excuses. "Well maybe it's your video card driver."
