Whenever I go anywhere I like to take a book or magazine with me, in case I get bored. And since I get bored easily, I tend to read a lot. This lets me take my whole library and I can get on the Net with it and not have to squint.

I might try one of those new bare-foot/minimalistic shoes, though. There are different review, but generally, a more natural running style is a good thing.

Yeah, those indeed! I think real runners would say that the Nike Free shoes do not really give the impression of running barefoot, after all it's still a shoe. But it's a good transition from traditional running shoes to barefoot running.

Also, these are coming this summer. From what I've read so far, these might be a real game changer. The whole upper part of the shoe is one piece, knitted by a machine.

I have a friend who is a barefoot runner, and he says he can easily run 10 miles where before he would struggle running half that distance with high-end shoes.

I'm fascinated by this, but could never imagine running barefoot.

It's a fascinating topic, really. The way the feet and muscles work and adapt to your shoes and technique. But they say, lots of modern foot and leg injuries come from unnatural shoes and too little barefoot walking.
