That cartoon was hated by Al Roker because he said he was taunted mercilessly because of that theme song.

I loved the cartoon and Bill Cosby was ahead of his time.

One of my favorite cartoons of all time. Before Fat Albert, I never saw cartoons with black kids as the main characters.

My favourite cartoon ever. I miss when kids' cartoons had heart, and weren't all about fighting and yelling and picking noses.

batman I wish Cartoon Network/Boomerang would air Fat Albert but I have a feeling they don't have the right to air Filmation Cartoons (which would include Tarazan/ Lone Ranger/ The Archies/ The Brady Kids/ Star Trek The Animated Series/ He-Man "Original"/ She-Ra/ Black Star/ Hero High/ Space Sentinels/ Shazam & Isis and so on.)

I can imagine his experience, and so had a number of young, obese black male kids of the 70's. I have witnessed it.

Classic Media owns the rights to most of the Filmation library and they have it on these channels:

KTV

PBJ

Retro Television Network

One of my favorite cartoons. I never did like the Brown Hornet part though. That's when I'd go in the kitchen and fix me something to eat.
