Books when we were younger

Did anyone ever read the books Blubber or Go Ask Alice when they were younger.. For some reason those 2 stick out in my mind and I can't remember much about them... Does anyone have any special book they loved when they were younger?
Sweet Valley novels were also my favorites!

I loved "Matilda" when I was young. And R.L. Stine's "Fear Street" books.

Great thread silkyspread! (Hey that rhymes...)

Ever since Lleena mentioned Roald Dahl on that other thread I thought this would be a good idea for a thread.

I loved Fantastic Mr. Fox (by Dahl) when I was a kid!

I also loved the Narnia books. ReepaCheep (Sp?) was a hoot.

When I was a kid, I read a lot of Ray Bradbury short stories...as well as attempted to read "Brave New World" (my brother left both behind when he went to college, and I just started readin' them...)...I don't remember really reading any "kid-oriented" books, other than Mad magazine... lol

I also seem to recall reading a lot of edit statements as a kid...

I know, right? I'm trying to get my daughter into him. She's stuck on those ugly little Mary Kate and Ashley books.
