I don't think all fights are dumb, because if you are tired of people messing with you and making your life miserable, and a good bitchslap or brawl is what will grant you a peaceful co-existence with the neighborhood bully then I am all for it.

Why bullies need to start the dumb shit is beyong me though. My life would have been so much easier if I didn't have to stand up to some ox when I was young, shit, I all wanted was to be left alone to be me. That reason, "to be left alone" was good enough to beat a bitches ass IMHO.

I was terrified as a kid, clutching to my asthma pump, hoping I wouldn't acquire bloody knees. SCURRED!

Until I finally fought that damn boy who was picking on me... he never did that shit again! Still got my butt beat, but at least he left me alone. whew blackeye

I fought more bullies along the way... this tends to happen when you look like a feather can knock you over. lol I didn't see it as dumb, I saw it as defending myself. Peace of mind came after. I wasn't scared anymore, just threw on some Vaseline and went to face my fears.

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

I rememberthis fight I had with my sisters--we were all watching MJ on the black and white TV. I was sitting on the loveseat next to my older sister. Muffin (younger than I am) was on the floor. I went to use the bathroom during a commercial break and Muffin was in my seat. I started to yank her out, but Pam wouldn't allow it saying "move your feet, lose your seat". So i sat on the floor. Before long, Muffin got up to use the bathroom so I took the place on the loveseat. When she came in, I said "move your feet, lose your seat". At that moment, Pam knocked me out of the seat and let Muffin sit down. I grabbed the dustpan (metal back in those days) and proceeded to try to hit her unscuccesfully over the head with it. (she is 10 years my senior so she had very long legs and was kicking me when I tried to windmill her ass.....) Lets just say we ALL got in trouble for that brawl.......... falloff .....and we got kicked out of the TV room too.

I'm forever grateful he didn't tell his parents (or any person of authority, for that matter).

He did remember everything, as did I. I went to see him in hospital once, because I just couldn't stand looking at him and knowing this was all my fault. It was only two years after that happened when I broke down in front of him, started crying and actually apologised for the first time... We were able to put that behind us and we're still best friends. He's great.

Yeah, thank you. hug

Up until that point I remember being quite aggressive and physically attack people easily and often. I guess I was very frustrated with my life for a couple of years. "Thankfully" that incidence gave me a wake-up call...

Dave1992....Sounds like you have a friend for life. Someone who loved you even through your dumb shit, helped you to become a better person and will always be there for you. So I will say congrats....and again, I am so happy for you. A lot of people never find that lifelong friend. It is seriously a rare blessing....

hug

5th grade stands out the most for me. Our class would become divided over who was better Donny Osmond or David Cassidy and I didn't even listen to either one what the heck did I care, but Heather was my bestest friend and Diane made her cry, so it was on at recess. Man, those arguments were brutal and dramatic.

LOL.....Osmond of course........ROFL

Michael or Prince

nod Heather would agree. It's amazing what our teacher let us get away with, the storming out of class, the tears, the chair shoving.

All my MJ vs. Prince arguements were civil, amazingly.

When I was a freshman in High School, I was in a senior math class. I was a little cocky about it simply because it just came easy to me... Numbers make sense...

About a week or two into the semester the kid behind me taps me on the shoulder and points to a girl sitting behind us indicating she wanted to say something to me... She's all like..."I don't like you bitch and I'm gonna fuck you up..." eek

Lemme tell you, she was not lying... During lunch, in a fairly secluded hallway between the courtyard and the cafeteria kitchen, Elise and three of her "cool senior friends" kicked my muthafucking ass... in no uncertain terms... there were pieces of me all up and down that damn hallway... I was a freaking mess. I was just a "lowly freshman", these girls were the "cool, popular seniors" who had everyone pointing laughing and whispering about me... "I'd hear, "not so freaking smart now..are ya bitch??" as I stood out like a sore thumb ..all bumped and bruised and cut.. lol..

Welcome to High School

dead

The entire school knew who I was now... I was outcast, more commonly known as...

the dork who got the shit kicked outta her by Elise and her "entourage"... It was brutal...

Well, a couple of weeks later, I was walking down the hallway between the gym and the counseling offices to exit the school building... when none other than Elise herself pushes the doors open on her way into the school without her freaking entourage!!! It was fucking on!! I, unrelentlessly, kicked her ass and didn't stop until the guidance counselors came rushing out of their offices, alerted by the sound of glass shattering, and pulled me off of her!!!

I was suspended for three days...

more than a little nervous about returning to school. I figured that as bad as it was before it would be even worse now.... I was mentally preparing myself for the worst upon my return...

however,

I was soooooooo wrong...OMG>> it was freaking awesome>>

I was like the coolest thing since ice... I got more "attagirls" than anyone could imagine....

Everyone wanted to hang with me.. I was now the cool freshman that beat up the hateful senior!

I was treated like royalty... I became the "Queen Bee" lol.. special priviledges, welcome at senior only functions...and most important, lmao, I could hang out in the seniors only girls room!!!

Elise was now the one being laughed at, pointed at, and made fun of as the senior who got her ass kicked by a tiny little (under 5 ft tall) freshman....

Yes, life can be so nice......

clapping

Have you ever looked any of those girls up on the internet to see what their lives are like? Sometimes it's fun to see what road their insecurities took them down.
