What's the most money you ever found?

Story: Long ago, we played morning basketball after our midnight shift....everyone was exhausted...the ball rolls a long way away and no one wants to get it. Our floor guy decides he may as well, and what's right next to the ball? $100 dolla bill ya'll....damn my laziness!!!

The park was known for drug dealers, so we figured it must have fallen out during one of those late-nite shady deals.

I think I found $20 bucks once...no luck.

How 'bout u?

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I once found $50 in the street.

I used to do a real shady thing when I was poor and In college. I'd pick up the money people dropped on the floor at the bar - on a good night I usually got around $30 boxed and I was too poor to use it to buy drinks, I'd keep it for the next weeks groceries.

$200.00 on the floor at a Costco. It was the first time I had ever gone there.

I reported to the store manager that I found an undisclosed amount of money and gave my number in case anyone reported losing a wad of cash.

No one did.

The most I ever found was $20 on a sidewalk. It was at night and no one else was around and just laying on the sidewalk so I picked it up and kept it.

The most I ever "found" (in quotation marks because I don't know an official word to describe the situation) is when I was at a Chinese restaurant and paid for my meal. The cashier gave me a $50 bill back instead of a $5 bill. I immediately noticed it but didn't say anything and went home. It worried me all night and I drove back up there and they were closed. I had it in my pocket all day the next day at work and couldn't stop thinking about it. I wanted to keep it so bad and it was the mere reason that I wanted to keep it that worried me. I kept saying to myself that I would take it back after work but that wouldn't be for another several hours and I was scared that I would change my mind before then and keep it. I finally came up with a solution. I called the restaurant from my job and asked the cashier if his register had come up $50 short the night before and he said it had. I told him that he had given it to me by mistake and that I had it and would return it when I got off work. That way, I couldn't change my mind later and had to return it. I do know right from wrong but I do have my temptations. lol

My Mother owned a dry cleaners, and as a teen I worked there after school. It's a must to check all the pockets and I would find money and all kinds of things. But the most cash was a money clipped stack that I returned. Hundreds, but I didn't count it.

Probably around $20 - and most likely in my own pocket. I like to hide money in my clothes so I can find it later. It's like sending the future me a present. biggrin

lol My mother does that.

I think the largest bill I've found is $20.00 but I've come across a dollar here and there over the years. One time a guy didn't know money was falling out of his pocket as he was walking down the street, aboutl $160.00 give or take but I caught up to him and returned it.

Real story..

I grew up in the projects in Brooklyn and my Mother came home from work and saw that somebody left boxes in the stairwell so of course she came inside and told me to go take the boxes out of the stairwell and put them outside and i was pissed because those boxes didn't belong to us and she said do as i say go take the boxes down. so i stomped out of the apartment and when i saw the boxes i kicked them out of anger and 16 100 dollar bills went flying everywhere... I just told my mother about my find only recently ( this happened 20 yrs ago) lol
