Even though I never liked this woman and never thought she was too bright (and to some extent I still don't think she's bright )...but when I was in the supermarket the other day, I came across that diet supplement she's been pushing.

And after reading the ingredients list, it's really nothing but fruit extracts, some green tea, and niacin (which produces a "burning" sensation in your stomach after ingestion). At 20 dollars a bottle, I gotta respect this woman's hustle. I seriously doubt this product works because it's a supplement (dietary supplements and vitamins are not "drugs" they're "foods" and hence not held up to the same quality testing as drugs) and I didn't see any ingredients in there, aside form caffeine anhydrous and that's just a stimulant, that are proven to help "burn fat". Just thought I'd share my thoughts for anyone out there thinking of buying this diet product. Exercise and eating well is still the only natural, non-invasive method that works.

20 dollars for a product that may or may not work. That is so simple it's almost genius...

Indeed. It's like what Ricky Tan said in Rush Hour II:"Imagine where people hand you money, and you give them back absolutely nothing. Now that's a real American Dream"

The only burn feeling you get from that product is from niacin, and that as an ingredients helps lower cholesterol, which is good I guess. But fat is burned are energy during times of great energy need (i.e exerise) when glucose is all used up (because that's the preferred energy source of the body). That's the logic behind Atkins, actually...no ingestion of glucose or carbs, so the body turns to fat.

As far as this product goes, meh.
