Strange Weather-It's Summer Here In Michigan

I've been a bit freaked out over the past couple of months because of the weather. Here in Michigan, Winter pretty much completely skipped over us. And, now, in the middle of March, it feels like the middle of August with temperatures in the 80's!eek We basically went from Autumn straight into Summer. A tornado devastated Dexter, MI last week. Tornados in Michigan in the middle of March? We are supposed to have highs in the 40's for crying out loud! I'm really nervous about what's going to happen weather-wise this summer. I'm thinking we are going to have a very hot and very volatile climate this summer. I know a lot of people like the hot weather but to have it so early in the season? It just gives me a very uneasy feeling. It's just not natural.

Anyone else experiencing Summer in the middle of March?

We don't know what the summer will be like. The last time there was a winter with this little snow in Wisconsin (91-92), we had a gorgeous, cool summer. (I remember because I was working in the state capitol, which wasn't air-conditioned at the time. We didn't put our window unit in that year, at all.)

Weather is highly variable. Nobody knows what it's going to do more than a day or two out - and sometimes not even then.

And not everything is attributable to alleged climate change. What happens today, tomorrow or on any individual day is weather - not climate.

It's been nice here in England too. The temperature here today was 17c (which converts to about 62f) and it was really sunny. The normal average temp for this time of year is 7c (44f).

It's so changeable here though... I wouldn't be surprised if it snows next week.

The weirdest MI weather that I can remember thus far....I think I shoveled snow once.

Snow went all around us though....Illinois, Ohio got lots at times.

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Yup, here too.

Yesterday was gorgeous and I tanned outside today. Laid out in a bikini beside a pool that is still covered in ice.

It's going to be just as hot tomorrow as well. yay!

Same here. I think it's about 78 outside right now. Oh well, I'm not complaining because I hate winter anyway.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I hope that will be the case this summer. We had a really cold, snowy winter season 2010-2011 but then, last summer was like hell on earth!mad It was too hot for man or beast!

I definately was not prepared to be running my air conditioning in March.mad mad mad

I'm in St. Joseph Michigan, I've had to turn on some AC, in March. eek We maybe living in the last days, I advise everyone to get correct. lol

I'm going to assume this is going to be a close to hell hot summer, Lake Michigan never got cold let alone cool.

I'm in GA. I agree that the weather is strange....while I'm used to running the AC in March, the damn pollen is EVERYWHERE. It's sooo bad here. I really feel for the people with seasonal allergies.

Same here. It's beautiful today. I didn't have to wear a jacket today.

For those that don't know I'm in San Jose, CA.

Boston is hot... 80's for 3 days so far and it is an unusual weather pattern. Bugs are out in full force and greenery is pushing through... it feels like late May early June... not March.

There was almost no snow this winter, and no hard freeze. Lobsters are moving north, and the sturgeons are being seen here, (south Atlantic larger fish).

Dolphins are also stranding themselves in record numbers on the cape... its weird. neutral

But the sun is nice....for now I fear for a drought, we are over due here.
