What's happenin', brother?

Life is pretty damn good, Ace.

We’ve had summer weather for about a week here. It’s insanely warm for March in Minnesota.

I rode my bicycle to work all last week, went for a lovely picnic with my boyfriend, walked around and enjoyed patios with good friends and went on a 19-mile bike ride on Saturday up and down the Mississippi.

As for me every days brings new additional worries, there are so many sad and confusing things happening one time .

2 days ago my boyfriend was very lucky to suvive a horrible car accident, so I know I have to be very thankful that he is still alive . But I am still in shock that I might have never had a chance to see him again in life and being at the other end of the world so far away from him doesn't help much either.

wow! i'm so sorry my friend, i hope everything gets better!

i had some health issues the last week or so, but i seem to be getting over that now with the doctors help. tomorrow is my 9th wedding anniversary with my husband, so i'm very excited about that! we're going to pismo beach to celebrate it during spring break. my husband has a job interview with the company he works for coming up (which would mean a promotion) so we're happy about that too, and hope that it all goes well.

our son is doing great in school, thank God! he loves to read, and is excited about his school's book fair this week.

other than that, i've been busy with college work, and going to church events. i have nothing to complain about in my life at the moment, i am very blessed.

p.s. tomorrow is also the first day of spring, and i'm looking forward to planting some flowers, and getting my yard how i want it.

Thank you so much Kim ! Life is scary for me these days . I try to remind myself how close I was to loose him for good and that I am blessed he survived, but I am too emotionally stressed out right now to appreciate it the way I should .

Thank you . He doesn't have any major injuries thank God and is already doing a lot better. I hope the 3 deep cuts he has in his face won't be too visible once they are healed . I guess it saved his life that the accident happened in a pretty strong car .

I feel really guilty.

work's wank, just about to move house, and just about to go upstairs and try and make a baby... 2 out of 3 ain't bad

I'm still actively looking for work but remaining positive. If ever there was a winter to be unemployed, this was the one. Very little snow, lots of sunshine and many opportunities to get some things done around the house. Things are not going how I would like them to but I can still see the small blessings I've received.

Things are better than normal.

We received our annual bonus last week, and it was a good bit larger than I’d expected.

It’s unusually warm here as well, which normally wouldn’t make me happy (I’m more of a cold-weather person) but I bought a new ant farm last week, and hopefully the unseasonable warmth is going to result in a nice thriving mini-colony for me shortly.

My org namesake (Damo Suzuki) is playing in town this week, and I’m going to pick up my ticket tonight.

I recently decided to adopt a vegetarian diet (after reading Peter Singer’s ‘The Ethics of What We Eat’ and, a few quibbles aside, not being able to disagree with any of his major arguments) and it’s gone very well so far. If nothing else, this has provided plenty of opportunities to try new things.

I’m reading a book based around stories concerning the elements of the periodic table (The Disappearing Spoon by Sam Kean) that’s been completely enjoyable and interesting – who knew Molybdenum played such a critical role in WW1? Not me, that’s for sure... and I should be receiving seven new books tomorrow morning.

So my personal inventory shows five very positive things and no critically bad things – I am a-ok with that.
