How hot is your office? It's raining in California, but it is tropical in my office.
We have central heating on (set to 70 degrees), but two of my co-workers are blasting space heaters at their feet. It's about 78 degrees in here. They are wearing scarves and sweaters, I have stripped down to my t-shirt.
It is hotter than summer, but the heaters are still going. My Legacy

It's 84 degrees in here. No air or heat on and the windows are open. And, I'm in Chicago.

That is crazy! Doesn't sound like Chicago. My Legacy

What I don't understand is, if it was 78 outside, they would be wearing light clothes.
But because it is winter, they are acting like it's freezing in here no matter what the temperature is. My Legacy

That's such a fucking waste of resources. Heating actually costs a lot of energy.
Apart from that, it's not that healthy to be in the very warm all the time.

Space heaters are the most wasteful way to heat a place, too.
My feeling is that heat is addictive. You sit by the heat, and then it feels colder when you move away from it, even though it's actually quite warm. My Legacy

My wife works here.
Suffice to say that it's HOT, baby!

Oh, definitely! Your body regulates the temperature accordingly and needs time to adapt from trying to cool it down to actually heating the body again. This process is also quite exhausting and that's why heat it produced in some areas of your body when you walk from very warm to warm/cold and you still don't feel the heat immediately. As your body starts to work and try to produce warmth, you still start to sweat, which makes you feel even colder.
The more we go into detail, the more proof we have that those co-workers of yours are absolute idiots!

To me my office stays cold throughout the year, doesn't matter what the weather is outside. I wear my floor heater out. I cut it on every day and it stays on until I get off. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Although it's been feeling great outside lately, the hospital I work at took the unseasonably warm weather to mean that it is time to start cranking the A/C.
So needless to say, I carry a warm jacket to work and only put it on when I get to my ice cold desk If you will, so will I

I have no ide the actual temperature here, but I am someone who is almost always cold.
Yesterday my coworker asked if it was stuffy. I realized that I wasn't actualy cold for once. She was hot.
And in the summer I have to layer. Sundress for the bus/bike ride (and I always wear tights, even in 85+ degrees), and I add a jacket or cardigan when I get to work or I'd be freezing. |

I'm always hot. Long ago when I ran a restaraunt I would do my paper work in the walk in fridge. I wish worked had a walk in fridge! 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment
