Sex alone with anyone is too boring - I don't need that. If someone mentions money, though, we start to talk.

I guess you never had it with anybody doing it right then . I had boring sex maybe 3 times in my whole life. I do think I had
It's just that an amazing orgasm and freaky stuff isn't enough for me. Been there and done that enough times, so there's no real tension for me to try to sleep with anyone. I have found that I'm way more pleased afterwards if I have the feeling that I connected with a special person on a higher level. No need for love or any romantic emotion necessarily, but I need more than simply "good sex". I need it with someone special for it to be special.

I really like this photo of her. And I think a necklace is totally unnecessary. Not that it would look bad, but like this there are no "distractions" somehow, it's just her. And I like that. I don't mind seeing a bit of jewellery on someone if it's a bit unusual and it fits them. But I will still try to imagine them without it; to "value" their physical appearance without it. I simply prefer it when there's none. However, I can appreciate the aesthetics of well-made jewellery, especially if it's something out of the ordinary, but I don't really wear it myself, especially not for the sake of it.
Other than that, sending you a !

Isn't there a saying that guys tend to date girls that are the same type (looking) as their mothers? And the same with girls being attracted to people who resemble their fathers...
Well anyway, I tend to used to go for types that had the same kind of build & style as my dad. But for the more recent years i've been more attracted to men who I would say are more like the same kind of type as my step-father.
Strange, but true. | |

I heard that too and there are logical reasons why there must be some truth to this. However, it would be foolish to assume that this is a definite answer to the question who we are likely to feel attracted to. There are thousands of other factors playing their role...
Personally, I think I have found out why some (by far not all) women I have felt attracted to seemed to have been similar to my mother (looks and character). I think it simply made me feel more safe, because I thought I knew what to expect and how to react to certain sides of their personality, because I've had "seen it all before". Look-wise it's probably all about habit and idolisation. Everybody goes through a time when they completely idolise their parents. Their face will resemble your future idol and vice versa. But I still don't think that's all.
For instance, I have found that many women I find attractive resemble that one girl I "fell in love with" in kindergarden. I never said a single word to her, nevermind touched her (I can't even remember her name), but I know what she looked like and I know that many girls I had later on looked a lot like her. So, we probably associate certain facial features (which often happen to be the features of the people closest to us - parents) with certain emotions - feeling overwhelmed, idolising someone, respect etc. - and that's where I think the whole "we're attracted to people like our parents" comes in.

He was stunning in the Godfather. In every way. He's always been a very handsome man.

I've heard that before and have wondered about that too. The type of guy I go for doesn't resemble my father but probably one of my great-great grandfathers I'm sure. According to the census my great-grandfather was a "mulatto" so perhaps he looked like Al Pacino?
I also saw on a PBS special a long time ago that people tend to be attracted to those who have similar facial features as they do. So, the next time you have a crush on someone, look to see how much they look like you It seems like I have also seen people who are a couple but who look like brother and sister. Trolls be gone!

Usually someone kind of like Rachel Weisz; a mature, smart, feminine woman who also has a great sense of humour, fun, and adventure. I like the long dark hair too.

I don't think it's a physical resemblance in the case of girls and their fathers. I think it's a personality/manner/intelligence/ambition thing.
My sweetie is nothing like my father physically. But he is very like him in his intelligence, drive and humor.
And neither of them are very good at suffering fools. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Awww thanks for the hug ! I agree that out of the ordinary jewellery is the best. If I wasn't as pale as I am jewellery would not be such a necessity for me, but then again even when I am all covered up in winter I love the "christmas tree" look .

I think I just found quite a good representative for what looks I'd usually go for. And when I heard (and saw) she didn't have any plastic surgery (apart from tiny fixes in her teeth) I fell in love even more:

Geordie accent is probably both the unsexiest AND the sexiest accent in the world. Perfect for any occasion. I love her.

I tend to go for these patterns...
Females: Shorter in height than me; charming face; chic, but self-defined Males: Lean, hairy (the hairier, the better, but I dig permanent facial hair somehow only on Black men), masculine, slouching toward slightly nerdy
And I really go for humility, impressive smarts and sociopolitical/spiritual compatibility (albeit not necessarily identical views) with me in both males and females.

So...
Your "type" is the woman that's been voted as one of the most beautiful women in the world on many occasions?
Geez, Dave. You're a good-looking guy, but aim a little lower.
I've studied French with the person that was voted the sexiest woman in my country.
She is a member of the National Coalition Party now though.

He kind of looks like you. PS u sexy I graduated bitches!!! 12-19-09
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
It's not vanity. I may not be as good-looking as the most beautiful people in the world, but I've been with women I found just as hot as Cheryl Cole and I found ways to make them happy and keep them for as long as we wanted. My expectations are high, but I am confident I have enough to offer in return.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Okay, it's not just you. This thread is supposedly about what "type" you are generally attracted to and people are bringing up some of the most unattainable individuals on the planet. Jared Leto, Lenny Kravitz, Brad Pitt, Cheryl Cole... it's just silly, really. A little bit more down to earth responses would be far more interesting than linking a pic of a well-known celebrity.
| |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
It's not less "down to earth" if you feel attracted to someone who is seemingly unattainable. It depends on how you handle this attraction and how you can healthily apply it in your life.
These people are prototypes. There's no need to argue that most of us will probably never get to have those actual people, but I have often felt attracted to women (and even had serious romantic relationships with them) who were the "Cheryl Cole type". It doesn't mean they were just as perfect as Cheryl, but there weren't tall and fat and they didn't have short, purple hair.
