Whitney Houston's Daughter I Don't Want My Dad's Name

Now watch majority of responders here say this isn't true, despite the fact that TMZ never releases false stories.

Well it always was a shitty name.

Should've done it when she turned 18... then again it's TMZ so who knows? But if she wants to do it, she has that right.

I think it's cute, but I support her in her decision, not that she needs it from me

Kinda ironic but Whitney actually named her daughter Bobbi Kristina. I'm guessing she nicknamed her Krissy because it sounded close to Cissy...

Also, didn't she say she wanted to get in show business? Maybe this is really about her wanting to get in the door if she wanted to. She did talk of following in her mom's footsteps.

Diana Ross' children did the same thing.

If its true, she's over 18 so she can do what she wants, but by changing her name, being that her MOTHER named her, wouldn't that be disrespecting her wishes?

I don't get how all these many rumors get made up every week about how it's insinuated that she and Bobby don't get along or don't speak. I don't know the situation and netiher does anyone else but them, but still, who was the one who got their shit together after the divorce in all of this? Just sayin'.

I always thought they had a cool relationship, but after the interview last night I'm starting to think something might be going on.. Pat indicated that Bobby had called inquiring about Bobbi Kris and she said she told Bobby that she was fine and she'll be sure to get message to Bobbi Kris and I wondered why he wasn't talking to her direct..

I hope daughter can reconnect with her father, but I'm sure it'll take time. She'll have to get her own perspective has life goes on.

Yeah I wondered the same thing. It's almost as if she's asking to not speak to her dad right now, or as if he's being distant to give her time. I don't know

Well, I can certainly relate to that because I've always hated the fact that I have my father's middle name and last name and have always wanted to change them. But then again, I thought to myself, since we're complete opposites, whatever embarassment I cause him for having two of his names, he deserves and decided to keep them. Damn shame I didn't turn out straight so I could give him some interracial grandchildren to carry on the name he's so proud of. Honey, he'd probably pull out a pistol and shoot himself.

But if she really wants to change her name, now is the best time since she's still young and doesn't have a lot of bills and things in her name that would have to be changed.

What was interesting about the way Pat said at one point that she and Bobby still talk (meaning Krissy and Bobby) and yet after the funeral said that she accepted a call from Bobby to let Krissy know that he was thinking of her. I don't trust Pat. I think she's the reason Bobby walked out...

Yes, she hasn't really made a name for herself yet. Not like the name change of Lisa Bonet or Terence Trent D. People are not going to go with that: changing ones name after u have made a name for yourself. Martika tried it. I think if anything it just ends your career.

But right now she still doesn't have anything out yet for people to buy. It is the perfect time to do it. Like Tracy Ross, her mothers name will get her further. "Houston" just sounds better than "Brown" anyway.

I actually wonder what the deal is. When she was little it always seemed like she and her father were close. And I know he's had his issues with drugs but he seems like a good dad. In most of the footage of the two of them through the years, he is hugging her, kissing her, stroking her hair, he seems really sweet. I wish everyone would leave Bobby Brown alone. He's stumbled, obviously but he seems like a good guy.

You could never know what's really going on because people think they know what Krissy thinks. They took Whitney's words on Oprah as gospel lol
